Question about Sony VAIO VGC-LS25E PC Desktop
I need to replace the hard drive on a Sony Vaio VGC LS-25E "All in One" PC - not sure if have to take the whole back panel off of not. I can't find any info in the manual on where the drive actually is. I'm assuming this is the same design as the other VGS-LS models that are out there so if anybody knows how to access the drives on thoes I'd appreciate any info.
Remove the screws for the mount as well and take it off from there the back will just pull right up

Same problem with my VGC-JS160J -- hard drive and back panel.
Not expecting much of an answer, seeing how it's over 4 years later, but has anyone figured out how to remove the back panel? I've removed at least 18 screws -- 14 visible from the outside -- and still, the panel sticks in the middle, right above the prop leg/stand. I've yet to remove the prop, as it seems a bit touchy, but am reluctant to try Sony for repairs.
All I need to do is replace the HD; why must it be so hard?!

It doesn't look like Sony wants us to open these things up to do our own upgrades. I can't even find references to upgrades. At this point, I think you might have to contact Sony tech support. Personally, I can't imagine it's any more difficult than upgrading a laptop though.
