Question about Panasonic TH-42PC77U TV
I HAVE BEEN RECENTLY HAVING PROBLEM WITH MY PLASMA TV. WHEN I TURN IT ON, AFTER 2 SECONDS IT SHUTS OFF AND GOES TO STAND BY MODE. AND THAN IT DOES NOT TURN ON BY THE REMOTE CONTROL AT ALL, IF I UNPLUG FROM THE POWER PLUG AND PUT IT BACK AFTER SOME TIME IT TURNS ON BUT THAN AGAIN SHUTS OFF AFTER 2 SECONDS. PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM.

Yes the control board would definitely be the offender here. But a word of caution. Oftenj when this board goes 2 other boards are also compromised and not always obvious at the time people think they can just swap the board out.
It went for a reason, not just old age. So it is better and cheaper in the long run to get a professional to check it out.
Also from a safety aspect, this is the High Tension area of the TV. Also be aware that radiation of the X type is in abundance at the rear of the tube. The TV must be grounded when opening ( but my advice is dont!) Let the professional do it
