Question about SanDisk Memory Media

Can't format 2Gb Extreme III SD card in Canon G9 camera

Because the camera simply reports "Memory card error".
Other identical cards work ok in camera.
This card has been used for Vista ReadyBoost but is otherwise new and unused in the camera.
Tried formatting in Vista but no change.
Sandisk RescuePro software does not seem to have a format option - odd.

I had a problem with a card in my G9...had used this card over and over with no problems...then all of a sudden G9 wouldn't read it. G7 wouldn't read it.
then I tried G7 ultra and sanddisk card...now the card won't read in either cameras. none of my other spare cards will read. please help.

As i inserted my 8gb sd card to my lg viewty and formatted the memmory seems to be reduced to 1.74 gb. how to recover rest of my memmory

Hello, it's quite possible your LG Viewty doesn't support SDHC cards...only SD cards. If it's bigger than 2GB then it's NOT an SD card...but a SDHC one (The HC stands for high capacity) There's quire a difference between the 2 types.
You could check the spec. of your LG thing to see if SDHC cards are supported.

Is a SDHC Memory Card 4GB compatible with my Canon Powershot SD600 camera?

Your camera will accept a maximum SD card capacity of 2GB. It simply isn't capable of handling anything of a larger capacity and in particular is incompatible with the more technically advanced SDHC cards.

Your fix is to either replace your camera with a later model or to stick to using SD cards with a maximum 2GB capacity.

Memory Error Message

There is a white switch on the side of those sticks, and make sure it is not in write protected mode. If that doesn't work, I am sorry to say that stick might of went bad. Before giving up I would take to a professional film place and have them take a look to see if they can get them off w/o formatting.

My memory card won't work in my camerakeeps telling me to format the Lexar 2GB card every time I insert it

Use the camera to format the SD card not your computer. There should be a menu option to format it.

Have you done a format on your computer? If you have, format the disc on the Canon especially if you got the disc from the internet ie abroad.

LLFTOOL is a utility for low-level disk drive formatting,
also supports formatting of FLASH cards using a card-reader.

1. Download this tool:

2. Format

(WARNING: After running this low level format tool,
the whole USB flash disk surface will be fully erased.
Therefore, data restoration will be impossible after using this utility!)
