Try restarting it. the process should be in your paper menu thing that you got with your zune(for future reference). press hold and the back button. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946064 that is the website if you need a diagram of which buttons. good luck! please rate! =]

My 4gb zune pink wont turn on or do anything except when plugged into a pc the zune tells me to open the zune software and and restore the device firmware

If it's not doing anything else, so you should probably let the zune software do the restore. Usually doing a restore will fix any software related issues.

Bought a 8gb zune

OK, plug it in for about four hours, and then it should start to work. What has happened is it has frozen during standby mode. Hope this helps :-).

Try turning it off completely, let it sit for about 10 minutes then turn it back on again.

My Zune 4gb won't sync with my software and will not charge

Hi,

I had a similar problem with my 30GB Zune. The first normal solution is to make sure that the USB port is providing enough power to the Zune to charge it by trying a different port or computer, but since your other Zune charges it is likely not the problem.

Other possibly solutions are performing a hard reset on the Zune (hold back and up until it resets), or allowing the zone to completely discharge and try again. In my case, none of these solutions worked and I was forced to send my Zune in for a new battery, which Microsoft was willing to replace for free.

My zune 8gb will not play music

I fixed it by resetting the zune to reset hold down the back button while pushing the up button. It will restart and it didn't lose any of the songs.

Music stops and zune freezes up

uhm i think i may have found your solution, that is if your using limewire or some client of the sort, i synced my zune while the program (limewire) was on and downloading music and i had the same problelm you did so i simply deleted all my music and put it back on the zune while limewire was off and now it works fine, i have an 80 gig btw if that matters
