If it's not doing anything else, so you should probably let the zune software do the restore. Usually doing a restore will fix any software related issues.
I had a similar problem with my 30GB Zune. The first normal solution is to make sure that the USB port is providing enough power to the Zune to charge it by trying a different port or computer, but since your other Zune charges it is likely not the problem.
Other possibly solutions are performing a hard reset on the Zune (hold back and up until it resets), or allowing the zone to completely discharge and try again. In my case, none of these solutions worked and I was forced to send my Zune in for a new battery, which Microsoft was willing to replace for free.
First you have a bad port on computer you probably need to plug your cable in the back of the computer. If you keep letting your ipod freeze like that your going to seriously mess it up. I'm going to teach you a way to fix your problem with freezing. the next time your ipod freezes hold the "MENU" and "CENTER" button at the same time. After that you need to take your ipod and restore it through iTunes. Please rate this response I would like to know if I helped.
