High Gregg my previous question About led panel going blank, My make and Model of bike is 1991 Honda Goldwing GL1500 Aspencade

Hi, Steve thanks for getting back to me I'm guessing due to the age of your bike it's probably a wiring issue the insulation gets brittle and starts to crack first thing I would do is check your instrument fuse if you have one next I would check the connection between the panel harness and the main wiring harness look for corroded, loose or broken pins. I found a free service and owners manual for you should have a wiring schematic in the electrical section for more information about your question and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the links below. Where is the rear speaker plug under the seat 91 se goldwing

Chances are good that the wiring harness does not include these connections because your bike was not factory set up for this. Time to start wiring yourself!

I am replacing the radio in my '97 chev silverado truck with a after market radio. It comes with a different wiring plug with 12 wires and the present one has 15 and basically the color coded wires do not...

easy fix is to go to a car audio retailer such as best buy an pick up a wire harness adaptor they generally cost 10 to 15 bucks this will save you the hassle of tracing down the wires however general wires are red-power black-ground blue remote amp turn on eight of the wires are for the front and rear speakers thier colors are paired an example would be solid green and then green with a black line these two wires are for one speaker +/- connections you can connect on speaker one at a time and then use the balance and fader control on the radio to check which wire are for front/rear and left/right speakers the factory radio has extra wires which usally control power antena, and dimmer switch for when you turn the headlights on

Hookin up fader and rear speakers on 1990 1500 goldwing

If there is an AUX output ... try that ...

If you are jury rigging, take one wire from the speaker, put it on the center tap of your pot (veriable resistor). On the right, put a wire from there to the front speaker. On the other tap (left) run a wire to the rear. You will need a common from the front speaker (the one you left there) to the rear.

Hopefully you are not concerned about ohms or phases.
