Question about Dryers

Hello I have a whirlpool dryer model #LER7648KQ2 It is only 5 years old and it never went off last night I think the timer is broken and now it is not heating so is that a fuse or the heating element

Mine had the same problem. A repair guy (overcharge me) replaced a thermal fuse by opening up the back of the dryer, took 10 minutes. I can do it next time and save $125. Well lesson learned.

if the noise is a rumbling sound tha that would be your roller's.the other problem sounds like a bad timer.time to think,do i put that kind of money in a 12 year old dryer or get a new one.

if you have already checked the timer and the wiring ect.ect this is looking like a heating element issue please visit to view the online repair manual and parts list this should help you troubleshoot more if needed and it will give you telephone numbers you can call for support. ok?

I would be suspect of the timer. Same thing happened to mine.

Rotate the timer manually a few degrees and see if the dryer operates properly. If so, replace the timer, a simple thing to do. Cost is about $75.00 and available from SearsPartsDirect.

Whirlpool Dryer wont spin

If it heats but doesnt spin, most likely the belt. May not be broke though. May have fallen off. Let me know if you need more help.
