When i put stuff like vids or music , or extra games it takes away memory from my mem stick but then when i try to find said vids or songs it says tht i have no songs or vids even though i spend at least an hour putting them on and losing memory HELP ME !!! and also how do i get my memory back
Re: i put stuff on , it takes memory , i have nothing
I can help you with getting the memory back. Go to settings. then go to System settings. And click Reformat Memory stick (It erases EVERYTHING on the psp) also check if your memory stick is fake. Search how to see if your memory stick is fake.

Yes, you can upgrade your Hard drive (HDD) very easy. There are a few things you will need. First, a big enough memory stick/thumb drive. It has to be big enough to hold your saved games, videos, music, etc. Remember, purchased games can be downloaded again for free from your transaction history. So you don't need to worry about those. Make sure it is a thumb drive that doesn't have anything you might want to save on it. If there is, back it up first on your PC. Here is a youtube vid that will take you through the rest. You can go with as much storage space as you can afford! It has a 12Gb now, you can replace it with a 1TB or Tera-bite. Witch is actually 1,000gb.(There's your space) ^^ PS. I know the version you have is the "SUPER SLIM" because they never brought out a 12gb version in any of the others. How to Upgrade PS3 Hard Drive Super Slim Model
Ok, plug your mem. stick into your computer. if you don't have a slot it fits in, then leave it in your PSP and plug the PSP into your PC with a USB cable.(You cannot put music or anything else for that matter without a Memory Stick Pro DUO and a computer or PS3. If you dont have a USB cable or a slot for the mem. stick, this wont work.) Click on the start menu, go to My Computer, look for the REMOVABLE DISC J: (or K:, at least that's what mine says.) Double-click on the icon. when it loads, right-click, go to new, and select folder. Type the name "MUSIC", all caps. Open the folder then drag your music tracks into the window. You're done!
The firmware you are talking about is a chiped psp, iso and cso games mean that they have been copied and put on the pc so u can play them for free, but there is one problem u need to 'chip' your psp the way u can do this is get 'pandoras battery' and 'magic memory stick' and chip it, do it manualy from help sites on the internet or get a friend thats psp is 'chiped and ask him to chip yours with his battary and memory stick
Me too I had the same problem.. It is not your psp console that doesn`t work it is probably your game. If your game is on a memory stick it was probably missed copied to your memory stick. If not just bring bck your memory stick to the store where you purchased it and ask for an exchange for another one. Before doing this format your memory stick because copying games on memory sticks is completely ILLEGAL!!!!
Did yout try using the same UMD game your brother was using and see if the game format has anything to do with it? Since you upgraded, the UMD game may be old, and might not work with Version 3.71. It sounds like your PSP is working just fine other than that.
well, you'll require a modified firmware inorder to play games from your mem stick......now installing a custom firmware or downgrading is a risky process , so do it at your own risk!
once that's done, you'd require a "ripkit" to compress the image incase if it doesn't fit in to the 1 gig stick.....get ripkits for all games from http://forums.maxconsole.net/
