Question about Computer Monitors
The monitor heater goes off and code appears as E 13. What does that mean? We don't have the booklet
Hi Edward - I have the same heater and it just did the same as yours. The booklet doesn't list what the codes mean (how dumb is that?) but in the troubleshooting section it does list the problem (heater extinguishes after lighting) and a solution that worked in my case. First of all, I went outside to where it vents and cleaned out a big bubble of soot. (The book says to gently clean with a brush). Then, on the right side of the heater there is an inset button - "Press fuel set lever on lower right hand side of the cabinet and release slowly 2 or 3 times".
Your problem is either air pocket in fuel line or empty fuel tank. OR there is an obstruction of combustion air intake system or combustion fan failure (which I'm assuming was solved when I cleaned the soot out of the outside vent).
Hope this helps, if you haven't gotten if fixed yet.

I did the same thing as plumasgal. After checking my tank, checking the lines, and thinking of everything else, I pressed that red fuel set lever a few times. Viola! It worked. I'm hoping that was all it was- we're having really windy weather and I'm hoping that some air got in the line.
Hope it helps!
