Did it work properly using a VGA (analog) cable? If so, check your DVI (digital) cable against the pictures at the bottom of http://www.datapro.net/techinfo/dvi_info.html.
You probably have one of the two at the left. Each has a different bandwidth, translating to a maximum resolution. The native resolution for your monitor might be marginal if you have a single-link DVI-D cable.
My 204B seems very picky about signal-level. It blinks when connected by DVI, even though it should be fine with a single-link cable, and complains about the settings even though the settings are optimal. Maybe yours is similar. I have ordered a dual-link cable and will try that myself.

My 933sn has this stupid problem. when playing old games at 800x600 half the screen gets streched vertically. i play all the other games at 1360x768 but some like age of empires 2 or counter strike,...

Try changing the resolution your TV is putting out; it may not be in full screen, but at least everything won't be stretched! 800x600 has a different ratio than 1360x768

I've had a similar issue with my Samsung screen awhile back. It should be that your monitor's power supply unit has degraded and needs replacement. You will have to send it to Samsung for repairs.

It is usually the power supply. You'll have to take the monitor all appart to get to it, it will look all burnt up. Order a new one from internet.
There is a lot of parts to a monitor I'll warn you. Once you take it all apart dont be surprised if you find it easier to go buy a new one.

Hi there,i have bought samsung P2370MS LCD Monitor it's very cool but everytime i launch a game the screen just turns off saying no signal i tried turning it off and on but nothing i tried everything only...

Are you monitoring your CPU and GPU temps? That should let you know if you have an overheating issue.

Try running that game @ 800x600 resolution in a window. Lower settings first, then moving up in steps to max graphics quality.
If thats successful try moving up to 1024x768 and do testing there.

My samsung lcd (model name - 933sn) monitor screen is flickering in every 2 seconds, although i have set the recommended resolution setting 1360 x 768, and the refresh rate is 60 hz, i have already...

This could be an issue with your computer's video output card rather than the monitor. Try connecting your monitor to another known good computer and see if it still flickers; you can also try connecting another LCD monitor to your computer, and see if the same behavior occurs.

Hope that's helpful.

I have a samsung syncmaster 933SN monitor. It keeps blinking on and off. I have rebooted. Unplugged and replugged all connects from pc to monitor and it keeps bliking on and off.

If you heard a 1 beep that means your computer is working! But with 1 long beep and 3 short beeps or 1 long and 8 shorts beeps and no beep. That means there is a problem with you computer. Try cleaning your video card and memory pin using hard eraser and brush it using small paint brush. If still doesn't work try connecting your computer with different monitor. If still doesn't work, probably either your video card or system ram(memory) have the trouble. In that case you need to troubleshoot your computer component by testing 1 by 1 with working parts in order to identify the defective parts. Good Day

I have a Samsung SyncMaster 933SN 18.5 monitor. Just goes black

Very common with 2~3 years old LCD monitor is the failure of the DC filter caps in the power supply section, that will be your first place to look.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed SAMSUNG monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Samsung lcd monitor 933fn service manul

Try the following options:

Option1: Remove the cable that connects the monitor to the CPU. Just straighten it and see, if there is any bulge or darkening on the wires.

Option2: Monitor's screen can get magnetized by other sources of magnets like speakers. Move away speakers from your monitor first then Try "Degauss" . Find it in Monitor's Menu.

Screen goes blank on 933SN monitors after it is on for short whil

I have not yet solved the problem. They are brand new monitors. Don´t see why I should need to pay to get them to work. I have worked with computers for years and years. Never before saw a monitor that didn´t work when it was new unless of course it was defective. Not your porblem I realize. I need Samsung to help me or stand behind it.
Thanks so much,
Bruce
