JVC TV JLC37BC3002

Work great but then sound will blank out (no sound) for about 1-2 secs ... it does this every 5-7 minutes ... it doesn't matter if the sound is being fed from the HDMI cable from Sony BlueRay or if the sound is being fed from the HDMI cable from the Cable Box. It isn't a show stopper but rather a annoyance.

SOURCE: Blank screen on Digital In

Go into the service menu using the remote (hit the sleep timer, then video status and display at the same time), go into the status menu #2, then power off the tv. This will reset the HDMI port. If your sitll experiencing the issue, probably a dead board.

SOURCE: hdmi Issue

Most new HDMI DVD players use High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP)on the HDMI output. If you try to play this on an older TV that is not compliant with these new standards it will not work. This standard came out late in 2004 that is why your older player still works. There is also a service bulletin from JVC about upgrading the software on your TV for HDMI compatiblity issues. If you want a pdf file of the bulletin I can send it to you.

If the TV works ok using the component, composite and tuner inputs otherwise then the HDMI module is bad.

SOURCE: HDMI input failure

Hey guys, had the same problem. Found this solution on the web. Worked for me.

JVC HDMI Port Fix

Turn the TV on, and enter the Service Menu. Select 2 for Self Check. Then turn the TV off, and after the fan turns off, unplug the power cord. Reconnect the power cord, turn the TV on, and the HDMI port is reenabled.

Here’s how to get to Service Menu:

Before entering the SERVICE MENU, confirm that the setting
of TV/CATV SW of the REMOTE CONTROL UNIT is at the
"TV" side and the setting of VCR/DVD SW of the REMOTE
CONTROL UNIT is at the "VCR" side. If the switches have not
been properly set, you cannot enter the SERVICE MENU.
1) Press [SLEEP TIMER] key and while the indication of
SLEEP TIMER 0 MIN is being displayed, press
[DISPLAY] key and [VIDEO STATUS] key (Fig.2)
simultaneously.
2) The SERVICE MENU screen of Fig.1 is displayed.
3) Verify what to set in the SERVICE MENU, and set
whatever is necessary (Fig.1).
Refer to the SERVICE ADJUSTMENT for setting.
4) Press the [BACK] key to return the SERVICE MENU.

This should work.

SOURCE: My JVC HD-56G786 will not work with HDMI cable.

I had the same problem with my JVC projection tv. It would flash green, then go to regular picture then back to green flashes. Not sure if this is the solution you were looking for, but I was able to get a good crisp picture using composite cables instead of the HDMI cable.

Hi when i set the microwave at 100 watts for 1 min it starts and stops working by itself when timer reaches 38 sec and it also dosent make the beeping sound in the end.please help

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes and try again.

User name &password ?

By default, username is blank, password is "admin"
if this doesn't work you will need to reset the router to factory defaults; the reset button is located at the bottom of the router, use a pin size object to press the button for aprox. 5 secs

NOTE: By resetting the router YOU WILL LOOSE previously saved configurations.

good luck

Turn on JVC 32" flat screen TV and got the JVC logo then sound and no picture. Then next day, only got the logo, no sound or picture.

There is a way to reset television. I have a jvc 42inch that was just going to main logo screen and not beyond it. If i remember correctly you unplug the tv hold power button for 5 sec on tv then let go plug in and start. If that dont work unplug and then plug and hold power button on tv for 5 sec. It is 1 of those combinations. My tv worked after that. I googled my problem and a website listed that some tvs need to be reset.

JVC 42 inch LCD HD TV has no picture or sound

utencilio posted this fix. It worked for my JVC LT-42X579.

Okay, I found a fix! Called JVC, spoke to somebody there, here it is:
1)unplug the TV completely, no wall no power strips, completely
2)wait 10 sec
3)plug TV back in and Turn it on, the light will still be doing the same thing
4)wait 30 sec
5)ON THE TV, not the remote, locate the menu, volume (-) and power button.
6)while simultaneously holding down the menu and volume (-) button, pressed the power button ONCE and continue to hold the other 2 for 10 sec.
7)on the remote control, go to menu>settings>system info
*** now this I know as a FACT will work on systems that display: JVC - ver.5.32FO001, but I don't know of any other versions***
8)press the mute button on the remote twice
9)unplugg TV again and wait 10 sec.
10) plug TV in and turn on

It SHOULD be working normally now... Thanx to the guys a JVC support for this one, I know it seems like an obvious first place to look, but sometimes it isn't. I for one checked online forums first
