Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from Sandisk's website (make sure the Sansa is not plugged into the computer yet). Once the Recovery Tool is downloaded, connect the Sansa to the computer while holding in the REC button and continue to hold it even after th player is plugged in. It should go into Recovery Mode in 10-15 seconds or so.

How do you clean the sticky speaker cover on an iPod dock speaker?

the material of which it is made has come into contact with a solvent ( fly spray, hair spray, cleaner agent, nail polish remover ) and the molecular structure is breaking down
it will be difficult to stop the stickiness as you will have to seal the surface first

Hello, Me and my roommate have the old "Altec Lansing Multimedia Speaker System Powered Subwoofer 2100" which we absolutely love. We recently took in 3 new puppies which found a way to bite and...

I had this speaker system until my kid snatched it and left me with a Creative Labs unit. It is a good system.

Altec has no parts listed for this system. You will have to ask them about it on their Customer Support webpage,

http://www.alteclansing.com/ae/us/customer-service/page/customerservice/

...and click on the 'Ask a Question' tab.

I'm thinking that you would have to have it repaired locally with a generic multi-conductor cable.

I hope it works out for you.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.

Sub Woofer to Sound Dock

Well if you are talking about the iM600 sounddock from Altec Lansing, the short answer is no. If you want better bass from an IPOD docking system you'll need to buy an expensive component from say Scandyna Dock or you could build one yourself. You would need an integrated amp or a complete system like the NAD C71. This would allow you to plug in a self-powered sub.

Were can i get parts for a altec lansing iM7 ipod player

You won't be able to by conventional means - probably not at all.

Unconventional means:
1) Find someone selling a broken or very cheap altec lansing im7
2) Send an e-mail to the Altec product development team, and ask very nicely.

I know this is not what you want to hear, but most manufacturers either don't have parts available in the U.S., or they are not willing to sell them to customers.
