SOURCE: acer notebook sounds

You may have to balance the equalizer in order to restore the proper sound. if there is a default sound option then you should go ahead with that. yo have to access this by going to options by the sound image on the bottom right hand sidde of the screen.

Audio from my acer aspire one d150 has chipmunk-like sound... from music to movies... please help

If you are using windows media player, right click on the screen part of the player and go to enhancements, there are arrows near the top to navigate through the different settings pages, there is one to adjust the play speedsee if this is set higher than necessary and adjust.

I hope this helps

Sound problem chipmunk voices on my acer aspire one. All of a sudden, every voice on my acer aspire laptop sounds like a chipmunk, or as though the news anchors have inhaled helium. How do I fix it??

Realtek sound has an "Audio Manager" control panel thing of sorts that can be opened by right-clicking a tray icon or using a shortcut in the control panel. The audio manager features a "pitch" setting that can get changed accidentally. All you need is to located that setting and return it to zero. Young children have a talent for finding this setting and changing it without letting the adults know that they have done so! Sound familiar perchance?

If i play music or videos, there is no sound i can hear,i have tried to use the control panel but nothing changed and if i use headphones then that is when i can hear the sound.what should i do to change...

Have you changed any programs lately? Has there been any error messages popping up since this happened?
If you use the headphones before you had the problem, then it could be an issue with the jack, this problem would not be a software problem, it could be that the jack is damaged or the computer thinks that the headphones are attached. You could try cleaning the jack or with some music playing, try inserting the headphones and removing them at different speeds, this might work if there was some damaged done to the jacks.
If this is of no help, let me know and give some details of your system and then a solution can be worked

Acer Aspire playing music & video too fast, chipmunk speed.

Go to your sound card settings under start settings control panel, select the real tek audio then in there there should be settings on how your sound comes out of your computer make sure that it is not set on some funky audio morphing setting. Someone must have played some pranks on you but yes its total fixable with a couple strokes of the mouse. ruldss2008
