Question about Garden

1 Answer

Poulan 1950 I have a low and high carb. adj. but they are restricted by a plastic covering over the adjustments. The plastic restrictors can be removed. I would like to set the carb. adjustments up like it is suppose to be coming out of the box. I cleaned the carb., replaced fuel lines and primer bulb and am having a hard time starting. I just got the saw so I don't have any history. I had it started a couple of times but ends up dying out and then difficult to start. I thought if I started with initial setting then adjust low 1/4 turn out until I get results then it would be downhill. What do you suggest? Joe

Tighten the left screw and right screw all the way.
losen the left screw 1 full turn and the right screw 1.5 turn and that should be the factory setting good day.

How do I adj carb when too lean

There are two screws on the carb (small ones) one adjusts the low and the other adjusts the high. very slight turns will get you what you need. Always remember where the screw started so you can get back if needed.

Stihl saw runs but won't idle.

The paper pumps get stiff and do not pump fuel very well. It's the new Ethanol gas that is the Carb Killers. You need a rebuild kit not just disassemble and clean.
You have IDLE ADJUST Low Speed adjust and High speed adjust. Low and High speed adjust have nothing to do with Idle.

My water pressure is very low from the original install is there a way to adjust the faucet to allow a better pressure flow

Your issue could be caused by the water restrictor in the shower head. To know for sure, remove the shower head and then turn the water on.

Very tough water restrictions have manufacturers using plastic water restrictors in the shower heads.

Although you are not supose to, some shower heads can be taken apart to modify, or remove the restrictor.

I hope this helps you.

How do I adjust carb on homelite b3850d chainsaw?

Should b 2 screws on side of carb. One is low speed adj and one is high speed adjust. Turn screws all the way in until they bottom, not too tight--turn them out 1 1/2 turns. Start saw and adjust the idle screw by turning in until it starts to sputter and turn out until is idles smooth same for hight speed only adjust at high speed

My john deere 1600 weed trimmer starts fine cold, then runs on high speed for several minutes then dies .Then will not start.I cleaned spark plug, checked proper oil/fuel mix, cleaned air filter,tightened...

Your fuel low fuel high adj on carb arent set right. one is for idle and low running while other is for high rev. Getting these set just right is very tricky and takes some time doing it to become good,Im starting you off on a crash course,Im not gauranteeing anything but here it goes. LOcate the two fuel adj. screws on carb,if they have plastic caps on top remove them with needle nose pliers so the screws themselves are exposed. Next,I want you to take a screw driver and turn both in all the way till they stop. Now take and turn each one out counter clockwise three full revolutions. Now start it to see if theres any improvement. (Note: further adj. may be required you may have to consult an expert to have it be done for you if you cant get it).

Carb adj on Ryobi blower 31cc

One adjuster is for the gas and the other is for air. (Honestly) To make the adjustment turn both to the right which should place them in as far as they will go. Next turn both adjusters out one and a fourth turn and begin your adjustment from there.
