Cord won't pull out

I didn't realize that the gas/oil wasn't mixed and blew leaves until it cut out. Now the cord won't pull out for me to restart the blower (after I mixed the oil/gas). what do I do?

Take out the spark plug and fill the hole with 30 weight oil. Let it sit for a couple days then take the cover off and turn the nut in both directions to try and work the pistons free. If you can free it up, empty remaining oil, put in mixed gas and it should start. It will smoke heavily for a few minutes.

This worked for me when my son used straight gas and seized it. Good luck!

Hi Shaun77b,

Regretfully if you didn't use a gas/oil mix the motor is probably seized. The internal parts on a 2 cycle motor are lubricated by the oil in the gas. It may keep running without oil but once it shuts off- its done.

Sorry, Phil

I put reg gas in it & it ran rthen quit now the cord will not pull

Could have scored the rings, broken ring, or just cooked the piston to the sleeve, maybe melted the connecting rod to crank, damaged needle bearings. Most likely needs to be taken apart.

Leaf blower not pulling fuel into carbeurator

Check age of gas. Cannot be more than 30 days old.
Make sure to use fresh gas w/synthetic 2-cycle oil @ 40:1 ratio (1 gal.) Gas to 3.2 oz. Oil). Do not use old or stale oil/gas mixture. Always use the proper oil/gas mix. If you do not, your engine will suffer rapid, permanent damage.May need to replace carburetor.

Accidently tipped machine and it cut out. cannot restart. when i take the spark plug out and pull cord oil comes out of port. will it clear itself?

Yes you can clear it out. The best thing to do is:

1 - remove the spark plug
2 - put a little gas in the plug hole (about a tablespoonful or so)
3 - pull the cord slowly so the gas can mix with the oil and thin it out
4 - pull the cord fast several times to blow everything out the spark plug hole
5 - dry and reinstall the spark plug
6 - try to start the motor without any choke
7 - if it won't start go to 1 and repeat

When it does start it will probably run rough for a while and smoke a lot until it gets everything cleared out of the cylinder. After a minute or two it should run like it did before the incident. Be sure to check the oil level, you probably didn't lose much but better safe than replacing the motor.

How to start the blower friend lost manuel

I am going to presume this is a gas blower.

1. Make sure you have the properly mixed oil and gas in the fuel tank.

2. Put throttle lever setting to choke or start.

3. Press primer bulb 4-5 times, until it gets stiff and feels full.

4. Pull cord until the unit starts or at least sputters.

5. Put the choke lever to the 1/2 way point and pull rope again. Should start. When it has run 30 seconds or so, put choke to the off position.

I cant start my leaf blower

I would suggest a new plug and fresh gas and oil mix.push the primer bulb 8-10 times and turn choke to full.pull cord about 4 or 5 times until it starts.if it don,t stay running turn choke to half and pull cord until starts should stay running.let run for about 10 seconds then turn off choke.Almost forgot that during this whole process you hold throttle wide open.

What are the steps to start my husqvarna 125b handheld gas blower

Put fresh gas/oil mix (if it is a 2 cycle) in the tank.

Put the choke on. Push the primer bulb 3-6 times. Pull the cord until the engine sputters. Put the chock to 1/2 way, pull cord again. Should start and run a bit with choke set there, then in about 10 seconds, put the choke completely off.

Troy-bilt gas blower/vac stopped and pull cord won't come out

NOPE You can buy new cheaper than have this one repaired, Also I don't recommend using these for a vac on leaves. Leaves are very very dirty and these blower vacs usually dont last long when used as a vac. The seize problem was from an improper fuel mix. THE next one you getone use a little more oil, than says in the owners manual. Like if it says 50/1<<>> mix 40/1 more oil will just foul the plug and oil the muffler, but you will not have a seizure problem. I have never had a problem with a 40/1 mix .

Does not start

any 2 cycle oil is good. Use a 40:1 mix to start with if it smokes then cut it back to 32:1 but its better to have more oil then not enough but start with 40:1
