Question about Nintendo Guitar Hero Wireless Guitar - Wii for Wii
I took my Guitar Hero World Tour out of the brand new box and inserted the disc into the console. The game will not load. We turned the disc around, turned the game off and on, waited, restarted... Help!
Solution: Wii Console needed to download a software upgrade from the web to run Guitar Hero World Tour. Internet connection in our home is via a Linksys ADSL wireless router. Entered Wii Setup menu (select Wii button on bottom left of screen). Changed Connection 1 from None to Wireless. Wii picked up the SSID broadcast from the router. Did a Test Connection which worked. Wii Console prompted me to 'download Wii System Upgrade from Web?'. Clicked OK. Download took approx 10 mins. On completion of download Guitar Hero World Tour loaded automatically. Note: I have read that the Wii uses wireless protocol 802.11b. Make sure your router has both 802.11g and 802.11b enabled or 802.11b only for the duration of the download. Best of luck.
