Blue button on guitar is not working at all for guitar hero world

I can play on easy, but when the blue button needs to be played it's dead. I can't even use it to get into the vault. The red button gose out once in awhile too. I have to tap on the kneck or twist it slighty to get it to respond. Any ideas? I'm wondering if I have to open the back up to see if wires aren't connected to it? Xbox 360 Guitar Hero World Tour.

I'm having the same problem, only by twisting the guitar a little bit it will respond, if i hold the blue button tightly and swing the guitar up and down (you know when you activate the star power) the blue button goes like crazy, Is there any workaround ? because here in mexico, the guitar hero is always out of stock and hard to find it,

I have the same problem but it's the yellow button. I've gone through two guitars and I can't afford another. Please help.

I was with the same problem and found a solution.
The problem is with the conection btween the arm and the guitar body. If you hold the body and push the arm a little bit up, the buttom should work again.
To solve this, I disconected the arm with the frets and put some tape on the bottom part, closer to the conector. So, when I put it back, the arm is forced up by the tape and the buttom start to work again.
I post some pictures on my Flickr accont (due the size, I can't post here) so you can have a better idea of wath I did.

Hope it helps and sorry by my bad english

There may be some dirt interupting the controller's signals. Take off the fretboard (using the lever/switch thing at the back) and check if there is any dirt or dust on the connections (DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTORS) blow on them lightly to remove dust, and clip the fretboard back onto the guitar
If that does not fix the problem then there is a fault with your Guitar Hero Controller.

I have guitar hero 3 on xbox 360 along with the wireless drums (cymbal and hi hat) and the wireless guitar. I can not get them to play together. The guitar plays but I can't get the drums to play. do I...

Unfortunately, Guitar Hero 3 does not support drums. World Tour is the first game in the series to support them. In addition, if they aren't official Guitar Hero drums, they aren't guaranteed to work with World Tour. Hopefully they do work. Good luck!

Can't get access to all songs of the game

You could get all the songs by just just playing the career unlocking them one by one or you could go to the Main menu and choose 'Options' then choose 'cheats' then choose 'Enter cheat' then with the guitar press the colored buttons in this order :
blue, blue, red, green, green, blue, blue, yellow.
when done a message will appear telling you that you unlocked up all songs in Quick Play. Now that you did so you'll have noticed the 'same as before' emtpy slots for cheats. You actually have to scroll down the list of the emtpy cheats until you find 'Unlock all Quick Play Song' and if will say "Off" under it, simply select that to be 'On' and just head back to the main menu and go play Quick Play with every single song in the game. Now you can Rock.

The guitar hero world tour does not play on my playstatin 2

We had the same problem with Guitar Hero World Tour for PS2. We have an older fat PS2 that would play all of our other games but this one. I tried changing the settings to fast/smooth, changed the diagnostics, still didn't work. Finally, I took The PS2 apart, blew out the dust, cleaned the laser lens with a qtip and rubbing alcohol, dried it gently with a dry q-tip, and the game works!!
