Question about Microwave Ovens
At about 12 months after install it started making a loud electrical popping or shoring sound when you push the start button. It does it about once every 15 days. after the first time we had a tech come out and look at it but of course it would not do anything for him and preformed flawlessly.
It pops and then works fine Im sure this is not safe and I need to remove the oven unless a start switch can be replaced. should i be worried about the unit actually exploding or catching fire?
NO . What will happen is that the contacts on the momentary start switch will wear to the point of no longer making contact at which time the button will no longer work.
