My laptop doesnt always go on , sometimes you have to push the power botton 10 or20

The most common issue with laptops is the power supply connector in the laptop. They are inexpensive but can be devilishly difficult to replace. I paid $125 for a repair and I use still use the laptop five years later.

The power button may be similar. If you can buy the part, you will find it on eBay. If it is replaceable, there is probably a video on YouTube. You will need make and model to find it.

This sort of thing is a test of whether your repair shop is any good. Before my son tossed out that laptop, a local computer store told him it was a mainboard and would cost $400.

Loose battery cord

As a tech I have seen this too many times! But good luck use it while you can, but at one point it'll be a 40 minute battle to check get it on just to check your email... Hm.. 3 routes... Replace the power jack, buy one with a bad screen, no hard drive, or memory and use it to charge your battery (very inconvenient), or buy something else and be very careful with the jack

Good luck though

Your power supply is fried. I had the same problem with my Bestec ATX 250 power supply. I fixed the problem by installing the StatTech model: ATXPOWER250. It was easy to install and works well. It is almost identical to the original but more quiet. I got it for $29 at MicroCenter.com. Also at online Newegg.com, Radioshack.com, Provantage.com, June 20,2009

Laptop won't turn on and charging light is not orange when plugge

I had the exact same problem. Here is the fix: remove the keyboard, battery and CMOS battery then press and hold the power button for a min. Plug just the power in then try to turn it back on. If it doesnt remove more perhiprels such as DVD, memory, hard drive then do the power button hold cycle again. After it turns on, remove the power then add the perhiprels you need to boot to BIOS, i.e; keyboard & memory. Go to BIOS then plug in the battery while the laptop is running. Unplug the power to see make sure laptop runs on the battery. Turn off then add the rest of perhiprels then plug it in power again before closing all up. If the orange light problem comes back repeat above! OR you can take it to your HP dealer to have it fixed under warranty if you are lucky. Then never buy HP ****!

Hope it helps...

Toshiba p-200

try another wall outlet first. if it still doesn't turn on. then you going to need a meter in order for you determine if the power supply is at fault.
put the postive (red) lead to the positive side of the power supply output lead (+) and the negative to the negative. if your read 12V on the meter. the power supply is good.
if the power supply is good. then, take out the battery out of the laptop. push and hold the power button on the laptop for 20sec (resetting the laptop). replace the battery and the AC. if that don't work. then you have other power problem.

please email me (frcs68@hotmail.com) if any additional question you may have.

thank you

ASUS Z91H PUSHED POWER BUTTON BUT WITHOUT DISPLAY

Try pressing the power button and press [del] button. See if it goes to the bios setup page. If it does, have your harddisk checked. It could be corrupt OS or problem with your harddisk.
