My SHU53 only starts on 2Hr Delay and water is not getting hot

What ever cycle I put on the clean the dishes, when I press start, the dishwasher will display the 2Hr screen and will fill with water and begin to wash the dishes. This continues all during the 2 hour delay. It then continues to wash for what ever cycle I have it on. The dish detergent releases during the 2Hr delay. The water does not seem to get hot enough and the dishes are not coming out clean.....HELP

Hello- Same problem I had- It turns out that my control board (fixed once already- the solder trace on one of the three relays burned open) was junk again, but the solder trace which was fixed before was still ok, so I replaced all three relays on the board (relays are available from Digi-Key) and that fixed it!! The relays cost all of $11.00 INCLUDING SHIPPING - So if you're on a tight budget, this may work for you. Bill

Bosch dishwashers run the heating element directly from the control module, which usually causes the solder joint to go bad.....solution, replace the control module, or take the old one out, and repair solder joint

Hello

Ensure the Frigidaire dishwashing machine is fully connected to a power supply. Shut the dishwasher door firmly and select a wash cycle. Press "Start" to begin. Check that the "delay start" option was not selected.

  • 2 Verify that dishwashing detergent is placed in the dispenser and choose a longer washing cycle for heavily soiled items. Do not overload the dishwasher, as this may prevent proper cleaning.
  • 3 Check the household water pressure, which should be between 20 and 120 PSI (pounds per square inch). A water pressure gauge can be obtained at most home repair stores or hardware stores.
  • 4 Turn on the hot water at the sink closest to the dishwasher prior to starting the dishwasher to raise the water temperature inside the dishwasher. Check the hot water temperature, which should be at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit for proper cleaning.
  • 5 Check the spray arms in the dishwasher and move dishes that may be blocking the water spray or preventing the spray arms from rotating properly.

The water does not get hot enough. I think it's the reason why dishes are not coming out clean. In normal conditions do I need to wash the dishes (like the manager of this apt. complex suggests) before I...

No you need not wash the dishes but just cleaning of the debris and then putting it in the dishwasher for proper cleaning will help you to prevent the drain from getting blocked.

First perform a vinegar cycle wash in the dishwasher. Pour a cup of vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher. Keep the temperature at the highest setting possible and perform a wash cycle. Then start using a dishwasher most probably that would solve the problem. If this does not solve the problem then there must be some parts worn out or faulty creating the problem.

There are many probable causes of failure .

To clean the dishes the water temperature is essential. It the water is not hot then the dishes will not be cleaned properly. So check the water temperature.

Also check the filter in your dishwasher.Clean the filter if there is accumulation of debris in the filter.

I started running the Hot water faucet till I got really Hot water then I started the dishwasher with No dishes in it and let it fill with hot water till it was almost full then I added a half a gallon of white vineagar to the water and let the dishwasher go through its cycle. It cleaned up the inside of my dishwasher then I put the dishes that didn't get clean and that had a soap film on and rewashed them with plain hot water and poured the other half a gallon of vineagar in the dishwasher and let them wash the complete cycle. It cleaned the dishes very well. I don't know if you will have the same results but it worked for me..... Hope this helps, your welcome to give it a try vineagar is pretty cheap... and it won't hurt anything inside the dishwasher or dishes.

My dish washer is 4 years old and is not cleaning dishes or disolving soap. HO appears in the status window which my manuel says indicates a water heat delay. How can this water heat delay be repaired ? ...

The water heat delay indication could be caused by the fact that the heating element has failed so that the washer will not proceed with the wash program until the water is up to the correct temperature. You should be able to tell if the element is getting hot. You could try manually putting in hot water before the washer fills up with cold to see if the wash then proceeds.

My dishwasher is not cleaning the dishes.when the dishwasher is done there is still stuff on my dishes. if you cancel the cycle the water in the dishwasher is cold

If the machine used to work fine then I'd suggest running the hot water in your sink before starting a cycle to ensure the water entering your dishwaher is hot. If you then are getting hot water and still dirty dishes try reposting for a a solution. When re-posting, include your make and model for a better answer.

Dishwasher Soap scum left on dishes

the problem is hard water. There is a new product out called The Dishwasher Filtration System. It filters the water going into your dishwasher leaving your dishes spot free with every load. It is very affordable and fits right under the sink. You will be amazed how sparkling your dishes look just after one load. You will love this product. Get it at www.dishwasherfilter.com.

Dishes are not coming out fully clean

first if the pump is running and you can hear it washing it should clean now hot water cleans dishes not the washer the hotter the better at least 130-135 degrees modern dish washers use less water than older models so if you don't get the water as hot as you can stand it at the sink before you turn the washer on you can fill it with cold water second its important that you use jet dry and if your dishes aren't dry at the end of the cycle then on most washers you can turn the disp up for more hope that helps let me know
