My printer keeps on saying align cartridges and I do. But once it finishes it just go backs to saying the same thing! And yes it says it passed.

turn printer on/off, unplug, plug in, should reset configs.

take all the paper out, put half as much back in.
check the rollers to make sure no paper or particles are stuck.

go to applications folder for your computer, dbl click printer icon for make of printer. check settings. print 'test document and clean cartridge heads', this should ensure proper printing formats.

lastly, go to web site of printer model and check site for trouble shooting if this does not work above. HP has an awesome web site for trouble shooting problems
hope this helps and good luck

I reset the eeprom windows wont recognise printer on usb

If the printer is not working or if you're getting an error code, please try the steps below:

* Execute the adjustment program (printer must be ON)
* Choose maintenance ink pad menu
* Click read
* Click initialize
* Read(again) after "0" press finish
* Choose set shipping data (bottom menu)
* Choose set
* Wait for a while (about 1 minute)
* If there is a reaction from the printer (it will load some paper or you hear "glodak" sound), the reset process will be done. turn off the printer and then turn on again. repeat read the EEPROM
* If there is no reaction from the printer, repeat step 1

Good luck!
