I have the same problem - Amazon sent me 2 Duracell batteries but the camera demands new ones. Once I switch the camera back on it shows the batteries are still at full power. Very odd indeed. Samsung recommend SNB-2512 batteries (£44 per pair) and SBC-N2 charger (£63). Will this solve the problem or will the camera still turn off I wonder???

My daughter was given this camera (Samsung S860) for Christmas ('08). In the five days since, we have used 4 sets of AA batteries. We are considering returning the camera but are unsure if we have a bad camera or a poorly designed camera. Any thoughts??

when i turn my camra on it won't do anything and the screen will go black and freez. It's been on for 8 hours. I took out the batteries and replaced them with new ones I also hooked it up to my computer it's still dead tell now. I've only had it for 4 days.

You have to use Alkaline batteries. Try using Energizer e2 batteries.

Can i recharge rechargeable batteries that are in the camera s860 using a USB connection to a computer

No. The S860 uses standard AA batteries. If you want to use rechageables then you must charge them outside the camera using a separate charger.

Buy Energizer electronics batteries or Rechargable NImH batteries. These are better for high drain devices such as digital cameras
