Question about Belkin (F5D9230-4) Wireless Router (F5D92304)

1 Answer

Router problem have a trendnet router, verizon modem, and a Dell Windows XP PC. I keep losing the signal to the internet. I have called trendnet and verizon many times. They walk me through what to do. I keep my internet signal for only about an hour and it is gone again. I tried using different eth. cables, resetting the router and modem. All this is very frustrating. The verizon tech said my PC was recognizing the router but the router wasn't sending the signal?Something of the sort. I also have a laptop and xbox 360live which doesn't hold the signal either. Could it be something in the computer I have to refigure? Just guessing

I didn't fix the problem with the router(I disconnected the thing) but I did find out that I needed a new filter that connects to my phone jack. No problem so far with my internet connection and it has been 12 hours now. lol I am wondering now if I hook my router back up if that filter WAS the total problem. Now I am scared to hook the thing up again!! This was a lotttttttt of trouble and very frustrating.

Why do I keep losing internet connection?

your device is to far away from the router, your got to much material in the way blocking the signals, or you have some type of electrical signal interfering the wifi signals.

Router wont give out internet

If you have Checked ALL cables and rebooted both, ISP modem and router, contact the ISP and have the signal analyzed, have a ISP tech come out and verify the signal. It may be a outside equipment issue.

My TrendNet modem has the "System" light always

Hello
Your going to need to log into the modem/router.Check with manufacturer on how to log in.

Once logged in there should be a page, to turn wireless on.

Here is a link to your router user manual.

I have a PC running windows 7 connected to the internet via Verizon dhl but whenever I try to connect a wrt54g router I lose the internet connection even though the modem appears to be working with all...

I had the same Linksys router, and the same issue as well. I continually reset it. Resetting the router would provide better connectivity to my laptop, but it would fail all to soon. I wound up switching routers, and the issue was resolved. I would recommend that you rest the router and see if that helps. If not, then I would recommend a new router.

hi,

I used to work for verizon for two years as level 3 support, here is the thing,if verizon already replaced the modem, that means that its not really the modem, its the connection, thats what we call intermittent route, here is what you are going to do,contact verizon, have them run an intermittent connection line test, tell them that internet connection is not consistent, they will create an active ticket for you,it will be forwarded to the central office and the central office will run a different test, thats what we call a test assist...they will be able to verify if the problem is the line form the central office going to your house...

thanks and God Bless

Trendnet router

I know you've heard this many times by now, but disconnecting the power from the router for about 30 seconds then reconnecting power should work. Obviously not. If your Xbox and laptop are doing the same, then it's not a computer problem; we can narrow it down to the router, the modem, or the internet connection itself (whether it be DSL or Cable). You may end up having to throw money at the problem and purchasing a new router. I'd recommend an 802.11n router from Linksys. If you're not willing to shell out money, even if you are, you should really try the Trendnet web site or giving them a call. You may just need to update the firmware. Try starting with Trendnet since the problem can be narrowed down to your router. Please let me know what happens.

Can't get Trendnet TEW-432 router to connect to internet with motorola modem

I had this same problem. I was going to go ahead and call ATT and ask them to put my modem into bridge mode, but I messed around a bit more....

I went ahead and turn on PPPoE...tried to run the set up again. Well it worked. Not the internet connection is working through the modem. For some reason, the setup changed PPPoE back to DHCP Client, but it's working now. Give this a shot before calling ATT if you like. Good luck.
