Question about Computers & Internet
HP Pavilion a265c does not boot. Initially, the hard disk light flickers indicating an attempt at reading/accessing the disk. There does not appear to be any signals to/from the ports in the back. For instance, the monitor goes into stand-by mode, the wireless keyboard box does not light up, ...
The fans are operating.
While all that "white writing" is going on, start tapping the F8 key and see if you can get the boot menu. If it goes to the animated bar, you missed your chance - start over from power-up eventually you'll catch it. When you get the boot menu pick "Safe Mode with no networking" and see if Windows will come up. If so, you probably have a driver issue. Reply back and we'll take you to the next step.
