Hi
turn it off for the night. The next morning, it would not come on. press the power button on both the system and the remote, the green light would come on, then back off.  hold the power button after unplugging the system.unplug it and press the power button for about 2-3 minutes. (now i don't know if this did anything but...) continue to press the power button as  plugged it back in. Then I let go and press it and the systemwill  came on. So far we just said that we will try 'not' to turn off the system if we don't have to.

Check out the power wire is it connected properly also check the power button is it ON.if every thing proper is the on button on the tv is proper or got stuck up try pushing it 3-4 times and check out.or it could be the internal fuse failure and needs to be replaced a common problem in such cases.

Tv needs to be on to tune new remote but tv doesn't seem to have a power button. How can it be switched on without a remote? Thanks.

Read any manuals you may have gotten with your TV, and make sure there is no power button of any kind. (some have touch buttons difficult to locate. Check the top, sides, bottom and back for any power buttons.

If there is none and you can't turn it on try using a remote of the same brand, some have frequencies that can turn on TVs in cases like these.

Hope it helps.

I have a palsonic model no: TFTV492LED and I can't change it off AV1. I want to put it on HDMI I have no remote either.

Try the front panel button labeled Source; it's the second button from the left. (The first button is the Power button.) All of the buttons are on the right hand side of the bottom frame of the TV. Use the Channel Up/Down arrows to navigate through the list of inputs. Try waiting for the selection to take effect. (The documentation says press OK or the Volume Up button. Sometimes, the Source button on the TV functions as an OK button. This isn't clearly identified for the Palsonic.)

If the HDMI input is greyed out, the TV may not be seeing a compatible signal from the source. Try turning on the device when the TV is off, then turn on the TV. I'm not sure if this TV will correctly see the signal from a computer. However, on some laptops, you'll need to enable the external video first. This is disabled to save power. Then turn off the computer. Finally, turn on the TV before turning the computer back on.

Palsonic has the manual available for the TFTV492LED on the product (discontinued) site under the Downloads tab. See http://palsonic.com.au/archive/led-tv/tftv492led.htm . The direct link to the manual is http://palsonic.com.au/customer_service/led-instruct/Palsonic_TFTV492LED_Manual.pdf .

I hope this helps.

newer model televisions usually have a combination of buttons you can press on the front to reset them to the factory defaults. contact the most senior person that works in the electronics dept. where you bought the unit, they will usually give you some insight without much, if any hassle.
