If there is no cd in the tray /tray will not open unless you tap the side
if you leave a cd in it/ it will open every time

I have the same problem with a PD-H200.
My workaround is to always leave a dummy cd, one of those that come at the botton of a spindle of cd-rw's or dvd's. When I want to play a disk I remove the dummy, and I put it back when I end listening.
The cause: the belt from tray motor to the tray mechanism skips, and it does not worth the while to try to replace it, you risk to broke the tray. This problem also happens in other Teac components, I suppose the belts degrade with time and temperature (warmer more skipping problems).

CD Drawer will not open. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix

Does it look like it is trying to open but somehow it seem stucked? This would indicate a mechanical problem whic is most of the time due to loading mechanism has been misalligned.
Open the device so you can see the tray. The tray is removable. You to remove the tray manually and while it is removed plug the device in so it will go into it's default position. Then insert the tray back again.

RCD-W10 Sony CD player/recorder left tray will not open

Two things generally make this happen. One is electrical and the other physical, First check to see if a light comes on when it is supposed to be working. If not, you'll likely need to get it back to the shop from whence you bought it. You don't say whether this item is new or you've had it some time. The other physical problem is a disc left in the drawer which is not 'sat' down properly, effectively jamming the tray. If this is the case you will see the drawer trying to open. On the front of the CD drawer you will see a very small hole (big enough for an unbent and straightened paperclip) that is used for manually opening the tray. The pin does not have to go in very far and only slight resistance should be felt before the tray drawer opens. If this does not work ........ back to the shop where they open it up and sort the problem. I do not encourage people to open electronic deveices thyemselves as ther are many delicate parts inside that could inadvertantly be damaged. Despite which you would be invallidating any gaurantee you have on the product.

I can't open the tray on the recorder side.

I had similar problem with both drawers. The belt from the drive motor to the drawer pulley is worn. has two belts 42-1050, 42-045 that are close enough in size to work. Remove cover, press down on tray, slide tray forward about half way and you will see the worn belt. Total cost of fix is about $12.

Is the motor spinning to try to open the drawer? Can you hear it? Can you get something under the tray edge to try to 'help' it out when pressing eject?

Loading tray will not load or close-reopens immediately

Sounds like the tray position switch has gone wrong.

Drawer came off track

You need to open it, lift two tabs at the back of the tray on each side to allow you to remove it, then re-insert making sure it's back on the rails.

CD drawer will not open or close

Had The Same With Mine. Its was the belt Inside that joins Motor To Cd Tray. Its Black and directly under the cd tray at the front. Its probably either loose like mine of maybe broken. I replaced mine with an elastic band and its been fine since.
