Mp3 player has no music

I have an Emprex MP507, a generic mp3 player, when I sync music onto it using my computer, it shows in the mp3 players folder, but when I remove the player and turn it on, it doesn't show any files. What do I do?

Re: mp3 player has no music

The player has a Recorder Mode and an MP3 mode. The player defaults to recorder mode for some reason, this is probably why you cannot see the songs. To switch to MP3 mode you have to hold down the MODE button for more than 2 seconds. Then you should be able to see the songs.

When you connect the MP3 player to yourcomputer with the supplied USB cable then computer detects the player as anexternal storage device or a Removable disk, you can then view the folder onyour MP3 player. Open the music folder and create a new folder on the playerexactly the same way you create a folder on your computer's hard drive. You will then be able to select the music you want to play by the music albumfolder. To delete a filefrom your MP3 player, connect the supplied USB cable to your player and thenplug it into the USB port of your computer.
The computer will detect your player then click on this device to view thefiles, you can then click on the music file to highlight the file and thenpress the Del key to delete the file off your MP3 player. Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX.If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatiblevideo file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format thatyour MP3 player uses.Click on this link for instructions on converting videofiles for MP3 players :- players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.

When i load new songs on my mp3 player it eraces the old ones what am i doing wrong

My advice has to be generic as I am not sure which model you are using, or which software you are using. The heading for your post says "Generic problem for Jensen MP3" but then it shows me a picture of what looks like an ipod of some sort.

In my experience, the best way to manage your player's songs, is to avoid using any software to load it, ESPECIALLY iTunes. If you have an ipod after all, then unfortunately you are a bit stuck with iTunes. If this is the case, turn on manual sync and it will stop nuking your playlists.

Other than Apple's mp3 products, every other mp3 player around will act like a thumbdrive or memory card when you plug it into your computer: that is, it will show up in window's explorer or Mac's finder as a removable storage device. In this way you can use explorer or finder to simply copy the folders with your music onto your mp3 device.

The simplest, most effective way is to manually manage your music, then you won't have to worry about software nuking your mobile library for you every time you sync.

I hope that helps.

How do I downloald songs on my new MP3

If you are downloading songs onto your player from Cd's that you have, you will first need to copy the music from your Cd's into a folder. Put all of your songs into your My Music folder. With some players, you can simply navigate to where your music is, right click on the file, select Copy, then navigate to where your player is and select paste.

Your player should be hooked up to your computer via your usb cord, which should have come with your player. If you are not sure where your mp3 player is on your computer, try going into My Computer. You should see something like Local Disk (C:), Removable Disk (F:) or Removable Disk (J:). My players usually show up in Removable Disk (J:). If you are lucky you will see the mp3 player file as soon as you go into My Computer. But if not, click on different removable files until you find yours.

Once you have found your player, click to go into it. You should see a list of folders. There should be one that says, Music. Go into that. Past the music file that you previously copied by right-clicking and selecting Paste. Your music file will transfer.

You can also transfer your music files via Windows Media Player. To do this, start up the Windows Media Player. At the top of the player you should see Now Playing, Library, Rip, Burn and Sync. Click Sync. If you have music already on your computer (everyone does) you will see the songs already on your computer. Select your song and then drag it over to where it says Sync List. Make sure your device is already connected to your computer! You should see your player in the Sync List. Then click the button that says Start Sync. Thats it!

Songs don't want to synchronize onto my device

First you need to sync device before adding songs. First plug in device, than make sure computer notices player. Than go into media player or music folder and sync device. Than you can either create a sync list from there, or you can drag songs from music folder into your player folder.

Open start menu, my computer, E,F, or G drive should have player on it. You can drag songs from music folder into this drive folder and they will be automatically added

Loading music

There is an alternative to loading song onto your friends mp3 players like all players.

Many people find it difficult to sync there mp3 with windows media player, because it can be very annoying.

To get around this, First: Connect the mp3 player to your computer.

Next, got to my computer.

You should see the mp3 player in there as a removable disk,

Right-Click on the removable disk and select "explore"

This will open a window showing all unhidden files/folders in the mp3 player.

Leave the window open,... next find the music you want to add to the mp3 on your computer.

Windows Media Player music can be found in the my music folder.

Once you have discovered the music you want to add to the mp3 player, go to the mp3 player folder (removable disk).... there should be a folder in there labeled music.

From here on it's just a simple drag and drop process.

Select all the music file you want on the mp3 player from the my music folder, and move them inside the music folder found on your mp3.

Hope this help <(^_^)> thanxx
