System Error after a printer jam

I am trying to print on my Compaq A4000. It said I had a paper jam. I checked everything...can't find a jam. I hit the start button like it said to and now I get a system error. I can't find the paper jam and can't get past the system error. Any ideas what to do next?

the ink cartridge is probably sliding to the far left. try to slide it to the far right.
