Question about Frigidaire PLCF489AC Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range
When I turned off the large burner, the igniter clicking noise started and won't stop unless I shut off the breaker at the breaker box. All five igniters are firing and all five eyes turn on normally. The igniters just keep firing away, though. What's the deal?
Hi davemoo2, I would make sure that the all the burners are put together correctly .. next check to see if a selector switch may be pushed in or shorted . also check the that the ingitors are know grounded out.. let me know what you find out... kraxytech

You have water left over from cleaning and it is shorting out the igniters at the knobs, not the burners. I guess the solution is to wait until it dries out unless you can open the top and maybe use a hair dryer.

The thermostat (that is the dial that you turn to energize the heating elements) is the only thing that connects power to and disconnects power from the heating element. It is bad.
You can unplug the unit and remove the thermostat. Take it to a parts supplier and get a new one and install it. Your problem will go away.
