Do they make a adaptor that goes from coax to hdmi or video plugs

No - co-ax is used to carry a signal at RF level while HDMI is audio/video.

A co-ax socket can be replaced by any qualified technician

Is i possible to connect a rca cable to the converter box from a dvd player and watch on the tv?

DVD players can have several outputs:
* coaxiable cable
* composite video (RED/WHITE for stereo audio, and YELLOW for video)
* component video (RED/BLUE/GREEN to video components, plus RED/WHITE for stereo audio)
* HDMI

TVs can have several inputs:
* coaxiable cable
* composite video (RED/WHITE for stereo audio, and YELLOW for video)
* component video (RED/BLUE/GREEN to video components, plus RED/WHITE for stereo audio)
* HDMI

Just use the correct tables to "match" the output to the input.

How to Hook Up HD AV Cable?

High definition multimedia interface cables are a type of audio/video (AV) cable that hook between your electronic media component and television. HDMI cables allow transfer of high quality audio and video signals between devices with the use of a single cable. HDMI is widely used with current generation video game systems, Blu-ray video players, and high-end video playback hardware. In order to make use of HDMI cables, your television must be compatible with the proper HDMI ports present on the set.
First,plug the HDMI cable into the port located on your media device. Then Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into an available HDMI slot on your television.
Switch the output on your television to the HDMI slot you have the cable connected to.

Which accessories are a 'most have' for connecting my TV to a desktop pc?

You'll need:
•VGA cable
•S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable
•HDMI cable
•DVI cable
Check the connection options on your TV. If your TV has a VGA connection slot, plug the TV into the computer with a VGA cordlike a computer monitor. Connect one end of the VGA cable to the back of the computer and the other end to the TV. Switch between normal TV viewing to displaying your computer on your TV by selecting the proper mode from the remote control, some remotes will mark the proper mode as "VGA" while others will label it "Computer" or "PC."
Check the back of your computer to see if you have an S cable slot. Connect S cable portion of the S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable to the computer and plug in the green audio plug to the audio port of the PC. Plug the red white and yellow RCA cables into the matching colors of the RCA slots on the TV. With this method you will need to switch modes from TV to video.
Check the back of the computer and TV for either DVI or HDMI slots. The slots on your computer must match, you cannot connect a DVI to a HDMI. Plug one end of the corresponding cable into the the back of the TV and the other end into the computer. Choose the correct program mode, HDMI or DVI, from the remote to view the computer from the TV.

Dvi to hdmi tv helpppppp

There are times when connecting TV's through cables that the computer may not automatically pickup on the new device. There are times when you will have to "toggle" the video output of the computer to the external monitor circuit. I do not know what computer you have, but the laptops use the "Fn" key for functions and depending on the model laptop you have will determine what "F" key combination is used to toggle the video. Make sure that your tv is placed on HDMI, if the tv has more than one HDMI inputs, then make sure to have the correct number disignated for it. TVs also have both HDMI outputs and inputs. Look on the laptop keyboard, the symbol for the display will look like a screen, it will be a square and possibly have rounded corners as well as lines on both sides of the screen. Hitting this key combination will tell the motherboard that video is switching from the lcd to the tv or to both or to just the TV and back again.

Connecting computer to tv using usb ports

You cannot,the best thing that you can do is to use the computers video card HDMI output to the HDMI input on TV. The USB is there for things like firmware updates and if your lucky,u may be able to plug in flash drive and view media through it. If your video card has SVIDEO you might be able to use that as well, but HDMI is the way to go if your serious about it, and an HDMI ready video card upgrade for your computer shouldnt cost more than $100,in fact 49 bux at STAPLES right now for a PCIex card.

WinTV-HVR-1600 Tuner card to DishNetwork receiver

Yes, but what it can connect to depends on what Dish DVR you have. The newer, HD ones only have HDMI, S-Video, and that 5-split coax as outputs for the main TV since you only get these box's if you have and HDTV.

This is because regular old coaxial is no longer good enough for them. This means you must connect the newer DVR's to the S-Video input on the Hauppauge1600 since it is the only input to the card the Dish DVR supports.

If your DVR is older and has the coax out, you can use that and connect it to the Hauppauge analog input.

you need use the remote learning method to correct this, for some reason it seems that if you just push the buttons on the hdmi switch box ie, inp2 to switch to a second hdmi output, after about 5-10 min it will revert back, but if you use a infared remote set to switch it, it stays.
