Breakin instructions I have a Masterbuilt Electric Smoker that I purchased from QVC and did not receive any breakin instructions. Their customer service sucks. I have been reading forums and now I don't know what to believe. Can you help?

I need an element for Mod: 20070106 Ser.# GA040925

You can purchase a new heating element part # 990050051 either from Masterbuilt or from Factory Appliance Parts http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/gasgrillparts/brands/masterbuilt/
If they are still available. All of Masterbuilt's electric smokers have been plagued with electrical problems.. It's either the element or the electronic controller on the top of the smoker, that constantly fail.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

My smoker does not smoke at 220 degrees it did fine in colder weather

Either the heating element or the controller on top of the smoker has failed. This is a chronic problem with Masterbuilt electric smokers. That's probably the reason it on has a 90 day warranty.

Where does the wood chips need to be placed in the smoker?? I don't see a chip pan.

If you don't have the wood chip tray, you're sitting dead in water, at this point. The wood chip tray goes above the burner, below the water pan. If this is a brand new, just purchased smoker. Go back to where you purchased it or call the number in Owner's Manual for "Parts missing". If it's not brand new, you can purchase a smoker tray from Masterbuilt Customer Service 1.800.489.1581

Hope this helped you.

Recently purchased a Masterbuilt Vertical Gas Smokehouse LP Smoker #15888 from a Sears going out of business, they did not provide instructions on how to use

Are you certain of the Model Number you furnished? As it does not match any of the Masterbuilt Smokers (Electric, Charcoal or Gas) in my current, up to date, data base.

Please advise. Thanks.

I need to replace the heating element. I've only had this smoker for 18 months and have not used it that much. I'm disappinted that I need to replace the heating element so soon.

it appears all the reviews i have read say that you cannot replace the heating element and they do not sell replacements , but from reading further many customers have been able to have the whole unit replaced . i would call customer support
