Windows Vista Blue Screen Error

I own the following system:
Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop (6 months old) OEM System
Genuine Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU @2.00 GHz
3.0 GB RAM
160 GB HDD

I have encountered the following error:

IRQL driver not less or equal

Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
.................................................
.................................................

.................................................
.................................................
Some memory mini dump was written...
I don't remember as the blue screen was visible for 2-3 seconds and then the laptop got automatically shut down.

Is the error bcoz of out-dated Vista Drivers?
I downloaded Uniblue DriverScanner 2009 trial version and executed it...It showed 13 out-dated Vista Drivers...
Should I purchase the licensed version of this software and update the drivers? PLEASE SUGGEST...THANKS....

Same problem as described above on a brand new unit. The setup process auto updated about 12 or 13 Windows Vista programs and the Trend Micro antivirus software ran an update as well. I then activated the Face Recognition software, let that finish and then restarted the system. After restart I was presented with the IRQL blue screen. I let the system attempt a repair and then agreed to let it attempt a restore. Both of these attempts failed. I let the system try one additional time to repair itself and that attempt ended with a messge that says "Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically." Not sure what to do now. Any ideas.

Try this...on boot up hit F8 and select SAFE MODE and see if you can get in that way. Look on the control panel for add and remove programs...eliminate Uniblue from the program list. Reboot and you just may be fortunate.
Isn't it funny that the program that is messing up your machine is the one (for money) will fix it.
I still think the best way to update drivers is right from the manufacturer (ATI , nVidia, ASUS,)or the computer company (Dell-Gateway-HP) they all have driver updates for FREE in their Support area look for Drivers and Downloads. To contact their sites try the Company name and .com
I also think if things are running along just fine...don't update until performance suffers. Like your daddy told you...if it ain't busted, don't fix it.
hope this helps...good luck my friend

Hi there, Our Dell Inspiron 1525 specs are as follow: Windows Vista Home Basic Service Pack 1 Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 @2GHz 2GB RAM - 32-bit OS Symptoms are: - Freezes oftenly after random period...

Do you have any CD's thatcame with your laptop? If so, look for one that has "Diagnostics and utilities"listed under the "Contents". You will have to boot from that CD disk. To dothis, power on your laptop and tap the key to bring you to the "Onetime boot menu". Insert the CD and then select CD/DVD drive and hit key. Select the "Run the32 Bit Dell Diagnostics". Next select the "Express Test" and see if any errorsare detected. If no errors are reported, then your operating system software isprobably the culprit. The blue screen of death can be caused by hardware or software. If Diags pass you probably have a software issue. If you don't have the resource CD press the key while powering the system on. This will run theDell built-in Diagnostics.

Thats known as a blue screen of death. you simply have to put in an operating system CD which is bootable (the one which you are currently using win xp vista or whatever) just boot through the cd ignore the first repair option and hit enter when the option for repairs appears for the second time just hit R and follow the options. you won't loose any data.

I've just started up my Dell Inspiron, and for some reason the operating system looks like an old version of Windows 2003. It should be set up with Windows Vista, I've had this laptop for about 8 months...

Its not making sense. there is no Windows 2003. Unless you're referring to Windows Server 2003 or Microsoft Office 2003? They're not related except Windows Server 2003 is also an Operating System. I suggest to run PC Restore. Just a reminder, PC restore will restore your computer to factory setting. It will delete all data store in the computer. So you need to back up your files first. To run PC Restore, press Ctrl+F11 upon turning on your computer(While you seee the blue Dell Logo). Hope this will help.

"Dell Media Direct" on Inspiron 1525

Make sure you do not have a bootable CD or DVD in the drive. If that does not resolve, then try holding the "home" (Media Direct) button while pressing the Power button on.

My Dell laptop is stuck on Windows Vista Home Basic

Press F8 to go to Safe mode, open SYSTEM RESTORE to go back to checkpoint where not yet updated the system.
And next time to open back your system normally finished all updates before you shut down.
Good luck!

Dell Inspiron 1525 Blue screen & windows error messages/reformat

Do a recovery first and if you are still getting a blue screen on this 1525 call dell and ask for a replacment do not go any further in trying to repair it yourself as anything you do would just make matters worse if its out of warrenty then the only thing you can do is try:

1. clean the unit if there is any dust
2. try new memory modules
3. run a memory diagnostic on it using windos diagnostics
4. recover the operating system.

I hope you have some good luck with this advice.

Dell inspiron 1525 laptop

Get a bootable Install CD for whatever version of Windows and re-install windows from the CD drive. (Windows XP Home I imagine). If the laptop won;t boot from a CD you can alter the BIOS settings to allow it. If you don;t care about your documents, do a DESTRUCTIVE install which will wipe your Hard Disk.  Beware if you do a non-destructive install  that if your problems originated from a virus it could still be on your Hard Disk. If you need help with getting the BIOS  settings changed lemme know.

Installation of MS SharePoint 2007 in Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop

SInce SharePoint Services 3.0 and SharePoint Server 2007 does require a server interface to run the collaboration tools you are unfortunately stuck with running it on server software. But all is not doom and gloom as there is an option for you to run Microsoft's Virtual PC. Here is an article on how it works from Microsoft. (http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/97a74f0e-798d-45ff-b9bf-7feed68c40e51033.mspx) . This allows you to not ony run your native Operating system, but also run SharePoint on th esame machine in a virtual environment.
