Cannot install cartridges to initialize set-up

Initial installation shows ink cartridge problem....have tried taking out and putting back in also have a new set and tried those and did not work...HP printer C7280 all in one photosmart will not print alignment page

Take it off the tape in the ink cartridge maybe work

Epson expression xp 600 error code 0xEA when setting up


I had the same problem today. I opened the printer below the scan bed, where you install the ink cartridges and there was a piece of packaging material that got left in that while I unpacked. I removed that and the 0XEA error was gone. I was sure the problem was nothing to do with the cartridge installation as it was the initial setup of the printer and cartridge installation was the next step based on the user guide. I was getting this error on initialization after setting the region, date and time.

I am missing a ink cartridge and my hp photosmart C4580 wont let me use my scanner


This is because printer and scanner are connected together.The printer need both cartridges installed to initialized and then initialized the scanner.Just put the missing cartridge and problem will solve.

I would take them out and double check for any remaining packing material etc and then make sure they are fully inserted. The simple things are always the ones to start with

Introductory cartridges come with the printer and carry special ink formulations intended for printer initialization. During initialization, inks in the introductory cartridges mix with inks in the printer to create a normal ink formulation. After initialization, introductory cartridges can be used in any compatible printer. However, if introductory cartridges that have not been through initialization are installed in a printer that has already been initialized, the printer cannot print

Remvoe all Cartridges, disconnect the printer from the computer and connect it to the direct wall outlet and Reset your Printer to initial factory default settings:-


* Remove the power cord from the back of the product.
* Press and hold down the OK and Help buttons at the same time.
* While still holding the buttons down, plug the power cord into the back of the product.

If the issue persists, perform these steps.

1. With machine powered on, unplug power cord from back of printer and wait for 30 seconds.
2. While holding down the "ok" and "?" buttons, plug the power cord back into the printer.
3. Let the Printer power up again and give it time to go through all of its process.

The following are common issues.

The following ink cartridges cannot be used after device initialization and must be replaced

Cause The wrong ink cartridge(s) are installed.
Solution The indicated ink cartridge(s) cannot be used after the device has undergone first time setup. Replace the ink cartridge(s) with the appropriate ink cartridges for the HP All-in-One. To find out the reorder number for all the ink cartridges that the HP All-in-One supports, see the printed documentation that came with the HP All-in-One.
If you are using compatible cartridges make sure they are reset for use.


Ink cartridge problem
Cause The indicated ink cartridge(s) are missing or are damaged.
Solution Replace the indicated ink cartridge(s) immediately so that you can resume printing. If there are no ink cartridges missing from the HP All-in-One, the ink cartridge contacts might need to be cleaned. If there are no ink cartridges missing from the HP All-in-One, and you still receive this message after cleaning the ink cartridge contacts, you might have a damaged ink cartridge.

Installed new ink cartridge and it won't work


HI
did you check if the printer printed a cartridge alignment sheet.
you can try power flee initially
take out the cartridge
unplug the power cord
press the power button for 30 seconds
and then replug the cable
when it asks for putting the cartridge
put the cartrige in its respective slot
also make sure that you keep t least one paper on the tray so thst the printer prints an alignment sheet
,it shjould work fine

Problem with ink cartridge


Take the cartridge out and put it in again. Sometimes the contact sensors on the cartridge do not register on the initial install.

Hello,

The ink cartridges included in the box are used to set up the printer. This type of ink cartridge is called a “host” cartridge. Once the printer has completed device initialization, they are marked as regular “trade” cartridges. This error only occurs if the printer has finished the device initialization process and one or more of the ink supplies inserted into the printer are a “host” supply.

Solution: The indicated ink cartridge(s) cannot be used after the device has undergone first-time setup. Once the product displays the message ' The following ink cartridges cannot be used after device initialization and must be replaced ', the designated host cartridge(s) (indicated by the color icon(s) on the display) that were rejected should be discarded or recycled and never used again. Replace the ink cartridge(s) with the appropriate “trade” ink cartridges for the HP All-in-One.

Cannot copy because printer says "out of ink" and shows WHITE ink


Try this really quick and see.
uninstall the printer completely, take out the the inks and replace them. then follow the initial steps you used in installing the printer when you bought it. If it doesn't work, try installing it on another computer. Cheers!

Epson 4800 won't initialize after changing black cartridge


Did you change from matte black to photo black? Or vice versa? If so you have to use the ink conversion kit that came with your printer and draw out the old ink and install the new black in cartridge. Try page 113 in your owners manual. I am having a similar problem but with the light cyan and it says "set ink cartridge".
