I play my xbox 360 alot on my panasonic viera tc-p42c2 and just wanted to know what i should set my picture settings on that will be the best for the tv without getting a burn in image?

all lcd/plasma tv will suffer from burn image if you leave the xbox 360 on pause for hours at a time just playing game shouldnt leave an image on the screen as the picture is changing all the time the only way around this is an old style tv(tube style)

My son was playing on his XBox. Turned it off. When he came back it powered up (green light) but no image on the TV so we moved it to another TV still no image on the screen. We plugged and unplugged...

If your Xbox 360 does not have display you need to stop the heat getting to the chips. You can actually do this yourself as many have in this forum using the recommended Xbox 360 Repair guide.

Basically the guide will show you how to stop the heat build up with videos and household items, of course if you are in doubt send it in.

It has a preview video on the website.

Or of course you can send it in to have it fixed.

With the TV on, when the xbox360 is turned on the tv screen flashes quickly and then no image on the tv screen. Sound works fine but no image. Several tv's were hooked up to verify it wasn't the tv.

Try a different cable. If it's not that, it could be overheating.

This is usually caused by a cold solder joint under the GPU, causing overheating, but your Xbox 360 doesn't recognize it yet, thus it has not displayed the 3RROD error (3 Red Ring of Death, red lights, etc.). It will give that error sometime in the future if it remains unfixed.

You have a few options:

1) Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} If it is within 3 years of its manufacture date (printed on the back of the console). You can call Microsoft and send it in, and they may replace it for you for free. I know they do this for 3RROD Xboxes, but they may not be as quick to replace it for free if it hasn't displayed the error yet.

2) Do the "X-Clamp" fix yourself following a guide from here or here.

3) Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} There are many repair websites that would be more than happy to have you send in your Xbox 360 to have it repaired.

Whenever you need help with Xbox 360 or Xbox 360 accessories problems, check out Xbox Customer Support

The answer is quite long, so here's a link.

And if that doesn't help, try contacting Microsoft directly.

No image

This happens to us many times all you need to do is(while the xbox is off) unplug your av cord or hdmi, blow directly into the cord where the prongs are. Do the same to the area that it is pluged into on the back of the xbox 360.Plug your cord back into your system and turn it on. 9 times out of 10 this works great your system will run as normal.
