My daughters purse was stole and the only way to get a key is by having her car towed to a VW dealer and paying $275 for a new key. Said key will take atleast 24 hours after car is towed to dealer. Is it possible to shut off alarm and rig ignition. if not.. would you like to buy a VW for cheap :)

that is funny, just call them, and tell them your Vin code, they will make one for you. I've never heard of anyone having to tow their car to the dealer to get a new key. But you may pay more than normal in the dealership, Someone may make a key by themselves, all they need is a car key programmer

I would call Toyota customer service explain what happened to me because you should be able to have this car towed to a dealer and have you two new keys made by giving them the VIN of the car they should not have to change the cylinder to do this
