Question about Viking VMOR205SS Microwave Oven
There is no power, we cheked and there is power to the plug, is there a fuse in the unit?
That oven is essentially a Sharp model R-1874 with Viking's name on it. The R-1874 is turn is a variant of the R-1855A.
We have the service manual for the R-1874 and and R-1855A have uploaded them to our site here and here to help you.
You will need the free Acrobat Reader to view or print them in case you don't have it.
The fuse and the magnetron's temperature fuse are the two internal parts most likely to render it "dead".
You can use the Sharp part numbers for internal parts, but not for cosmetic / external / trim parts.
If the problem turns out to be the control panel, we repair these nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in most cases in about a week or so.
Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number) for more information & help.
We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
