Question about Thomson Lyra PDP2842U MP3 Player
When I turn the player on it says 'Failed to load files! Reset unit to resume operation. Update LyraHD system files if problem persists', and then it turns itself off. It says on the back to hold down the OFF button for 10 seconds to reset, but this doesn't appear to do anything when the unit is off, or if I press and hold it for for the couple of seconds it will come on for. Computer doesn't recognise that anything is being plugged in. I'm assuming it's died on me, but anything at all I can try? Not worried about recovering files, just want to have a working mp3 player!
To reset you need to have MP3 switched on, THEN hold the off switch for 10 seconds. If this fails to reset. You may have some corrupted music files sitting on the harddrive.email firstname.lastname@example.org if you still have problems as i had the same issue and found a workaround.
