Answered

Laptop will not boot if battery is installed

This wonderful laptop works fine if the battery is not installed. If the battery is installed it will not boot up at all. Tried new battery - same result. Any ideas? :0( I would like to be able to use this with the battery.

    Thank you so much - we tried that now...we get a message the installed battery may not be compatibly with computer or installed correctly (but it is the right battery and is installed correctly). The battery light continues to flash on and off? :0( Thank you for helping though...any other ideas?

Have you tried going through the setup screen and selecting the default values for the BIOS? Usually that is necessary any time the battery power is lost.

unplug your laptop, remove the battery and wait for three minutes. then install back your battery and power on. right after you power on your laptop press shift key together with f9. release the keys when the laptop begin to boot. follow the instruction on the display.

Firstly, try the following steps to check the problem:

Turn off laptop.

Unplug AC power adapter.

Remove battery.

Replace AC power adapter.

Turn on laptop, allow OS to boot.

Once logged in to the machine, perform a normal shut down.

Unplug AC power adapter.

Replace battery.

Replace AC power adapter.

Turn on laptop, allow OS to boot. The battery should once again be charging as normal.

My new acer laptop only works if pluggd in
u try one thing just shutdown laptop remove battery and charger from laptop then after push power button for 1 minute after that install battery and charger. but not start laptop and check that charging led of laptop is running if it's runnig then put in same condition for 3 to 4 hours after that start laptop using battery only after proper booting when os load attech the charger and check charging status.

Gigaware optical wireless mouse - does not work
Sounds like a Ebay sold mouse with non matching receiver to mouse.
Best laptop wireless mouse to buy in my opinion is Logitech VX Nano from Staples or some store like it.Work wonderful and battery life excellent. Windows Xp,Vista,Windows7 install the driver auto for you. Don't need the cd at all

un install the battery

un install the RAM

reinstall the RAM ( make sure it was installed correctly)

install back the battery

Toshiba Satellite M35x-S1142 Turn off problem
Was something new installed. It's failing during the driver load. You can quick fix it, maybe, by booting and pressing the F8 key, then selecting Last Good Configuration (words of that effect). If that does not work, boot with F8 and trace each driver as it loads. The one it stops on is the one you want to deal with. Boot in Safe Mode again and try to fix the problem. Do you have anything showing up under the Question Mark in device drivers? You may need to deal with the problem on that level also. Cheers.
