Is this for an XP installation that you already have running? If so, there is a free program called Belarc Advisor that will list your license keys for the programs you have installed. You can find the download here - Belarc Advisor.

Victim of software counterfeiting

Each copy of Windows XP has a unique 25-character license-key.
Legallly, that license-key can only be used to install Windows XP on _one_ computer at a time.

However, Microsoft is stating that the license-key used for your copy of Windows XP has been used on _more_ than one computer.

So, follow the on-screen instructions to use you credit-card to purchase a valid license-key for Windows XP. Or, if you have a fairly-recent computer, purchase a copy of Windows 7, and upgrade your computer.

Where did you get your computer? A computer-store that has "reused" a license-key is in violation of their contracts with Microsoft, and should be reported: 1-800-R-U-LEGIT.

Volume licenece key in my pc has been bloked i dont now what to do plz help me

> volume license key has been blocked

If you work for an organization that has licensed, in "bulk", copies of Microsoft Windows, then your I.T. department would have received a "volume" license-key, i.e., one license-key spanning _every_ licensed computer, not one unique license-key _per_ every computer. If so, contact your local I.T. department, and ask them why Microsoft is now "blocking" usage of computers that are using that "volume" license-key.

Or, if you are using a "bootleg" copy of Windows XP, i.e., somebody outside of the organization that licensed that "volume" license-key has ILLEGALLY used that license-key to install Windows on your computer, then you need to purchase license of a "genuine" copy of Windows XP.

See: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/

for details on how to "get genuine".

Assuming you still have Windows installed, download SIW (System Information for Windows):

In the left hand margin click on "licenses" to view your product key.

Probm with software counterfeiting

The license-key for the copy of Windows XP that you have installed has been detected by Microsoft as being a "counterfeit" key -- the license-key has been copied from some computer with a valid license.

Windows 7 revert back to Win XP

I think that what's important is license key of your Win XP, the installer for Win XP can be downloaded from any download site now a days. If you have a friend or know someone who has the Win XP installer, you can barrow it from them or have it copied on another disc. Then use the license key that you have from your previous operating system (Win XP).

You must also make sure that the installer that you will be using is the same version that you used to have before installing Win 7. I hope this one helped in a way.

Copy of windows xp did not pass genuine windows validation

The Windows Genuine Advantage program for Windows XP uses Windows product activation, validation, and notifications to verify that your copy of Windows is genuine. Using genuine Windows delivers better performance and lets you access all downloads in the Microsoft Download Center, while helping to protect you from the risks of counterfeit software.

Activation is an anti-piracy technology designed to make sure that your copy of Windows XP is properly licensed. It works by verifying that the product key is valid and is only being used on the number of computers permitted by the software license. Activation uses a simple and fast process to protect your copy and ensure that you paid for the right thing.

Validation is a quick process that allows you to find out if the product key you activated is counterfeit or has been misused. For example, you may have accidentally received a product key that was reported as lost or stolen by its original owner. Sometimes, during a repair or reinstall, an invalid product key is used if the original product key is not handy. Microsoft values your privacy and does not use information collected during the validation process to identify you or contact you.1

Notifications helps Microsoft to fight software piracy and helps to you validate that the copy of Microsoft Windows XP that's installed on your computer is genuine and properly licensed. It reminds you that your copy of Windows XP did not pass validation and provides resources that help you to easily fix the problem online.

By confirming that your copy of Windows XP is genuine, you can take advantage of all the capabilities, support, and continuous improvements—as well as the peace of mind—that come with using genuine Windows.

Hope this will helps you

Thanks & Regards
