Install the provided Bluetooth wireless adapter. Purchase and install a commercially available USB-to-Bluetooth wireless adapter. Enable your computer's built-in Bluetooth wireless support. This should then be able to connect to anything that has Bluetooth support.
Hope this helped. Good Luck!
Hi tallyman, you lost bet ...when it has a bluetooth switch it will have a hardware installed. Best solution is got is a simple call to acer service support, the problem very very simple in 5738 machines they installed foxcom bluetooth device a very much updated version. But the drives in your cd will be broadcom drivers install aspire 3810T model bluetooth drivers.
I had the same problem. BG2046 , Acer DVD was not able to solve the problem (Aspire 5738 ) I downloaded the update from Acer.co.in and then forced a have disk install of the driver from downloaded driver. Which installed my Bluetooth.
Hello friend. Actually in the Acer Aspire 5720 model (in the main Acer website) it says Bluetooth 2.0+E.D.R (manufacturing option); which means there might be Bluetooth pre-installed in your laptop or not installed at all. Even if you have a Bluetooth switch on the laptop, it doesnt necessarily mean that there is Bluetooth. So, I think in this case, there is no Bluetooth device in your laptop.
Or if you are sure that there is Bluetooth module in your laptop then try reinstalling the bluetooth drivers. But in most cases, Acer laptops (most of them) dont have Bluetooth pre-installed though the laptops have a bluetooth switch. Hope I am not confusing and this would be helpful.
