SOURCE: how to hook up a cord to the maytag neptune dryer with no color c

The 2 larger outside wires are the Hot wires (Red and Black). Connect them to the Red and Black terminals on the dryer (They can be reversed, it does not matter as long as one is on the Black and the other is on the Red terminal) . The smaller middle wire is the Neutral wire (white) and will connect to the white terminal on the dryer.

SOURCE: PF error

This error code indicates "power failure" was detected. This could be caused by a bad/loose connection at either the logic board, the relay board, or at one of the three main power connection terminals on the back of the dryer. The logic board is located inside the control panel. The relay board is located in the base of the dryer. You can unplug and reseat electrical connections at these locations and check the main power cord hook-up at the terminal block. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Kenmore series 600 dryer displaying PF code tries to start but doesnt then kick completely off

PF is power failure error meaning electricity has been interrupted to the machine. An electrical interruption of any type can cause a PF error code. Try this: Press the Pause/Cancel/Stop button twice to clear the PF in the display.

I have a Maytag dryer model: MEDE300VW0 that is showing a PF code. I have tried unplugging, pressing the cancel button, etc. as recommended on various internet sites. PF code persists.

i know that the voltage overseas is different form the usa, that's telling you there was a power failure while the dryer was running, check the back of dryer to make sure you have 240 volts going to the dryer, you could have a bad power cord or something to do with power source.

I have a Maytag Epic z, electric. They dryer turns on but not heat

Instructions

Dryer
1

Examine the household fuses or circuit breakers if the unit is not working, as the Epic z dryer uses more than one circuit or fuse. Replace or reset as necessary. Use a power outlet with 240 volts or more, which you can determine with a volt meter.
2

Close the Epic z door firmly and press the "Power" button for at least one second if the dryer has power but isn't working. If there is no heat, verify that you selected a heat dry option.

Look inside the dryer for objects that may have fallen out of pockets if there is a clicking or thumping noise. Examine the drum edges and remove items if possible. Separate pieces of clothing inside the dryer if the items got tangled together, and reduce the load size if necessary.
4

Tighten the legs on the dryer if the unit is rocking side to side during use. All four legs should touch the floor evenly. Adjust as needed.
5

Press and hold "Start" if a "PF" (power failure) error code appears. If the code persists, press "Power" and then a new cycle selection.
6

Contact Maytag for help if an error code with an "E" and a number appears on the display.
Washer
7

Ensure the Epic z washing machine is plugged into a grounded three-prong outlet if it doesn't start. Shut the lid firmly and press a wash cycle before selecting "Start." Select "Start/Pause" if an error code appears on the display and unplug the unit for several minutes. Reconnect power and choose a new cycle before pressing "Start."
8

Verify that the hose connections are tight on both ends and only high-efficiency (HE) detergent is being used if the washer is leaking. Do not open the washer lid during the wash cycle, as water can deflect off items and splash out of the washing machine.
9

Select "Rinse and Drain/Spin" if the door does not unlock. This removes any excess water from the washer tub. If "Add a Garment" is illuminated, select "Start/Pause" to unlock the door.
10

Verify that you placed the correct detergent in the correct dispenser if the dispenser is clogged or is not dispensing as expected. Wipe out the dispenser drawer with a damp cloth and dry it before adding the correct detergent.
11

Leave the door open after use (if small children and/or pets are not present) if the washer smells badly. Place a laundry cleaning tablet, available at grocery and hardware stores, into the washer and set the washer to the highest temperature wash possible to clean the unit.
Both Units
12

Set a piece of 3/4-inch plywood under the washer or dryer (or both if stacked) if the machine is thumping or vibrating or the floor seems too weak to support the unit(s).
13

Tighten the feet on the unit and make sure all four feet are level on the ground if there is vibrating or thumping during use.
14

Do not connect the washer or dryer to an extension cord, as extension cords cannot supply the power necessary for the unit(s).

My Maytag Neptune Dryer stopped running & is

as per heatman The most common cause of your appliance giving you the PF error code is a problem with the power coming in from your utility company. Of course if there is an interruption of power, and then the power comes back on you will get the PF code Loose wires going to the circuit board or the control can also be a cause of the error code. If a wire terminal end happens to get corroded or loose, the vibration from the machine can cause slight power problems and this can cause the PF code to be displayed. Finding the cause of this type of problem is like finding a needle in a haystack. Sometimes you can cause it to be displayed by banging on the side of the appliance or slightly moving the wiring harness, to see if you can get the error code to display.

The bottom line about this power failure error code, is that it is power related. Finding the exact cause can be difficult. If you are continually having to reset the appliance then check to see if all of your appliances are giving the same code. This will indicate utility power problems. If only one appliance is giving the PF code then it is probably internal to the appliance.

What does PF stand for? getting that message several times lately

What you could do is get the service panel off the base of the machine.
On the backside of it is the tech sheet which gives explanations of the codes given.
You would thin it stands for Power failure and it might just be a faulty breaker. They recommend the washer have its own dedicated line without any other things on that line. Some codes require a ground fault interupter on the receptacle near any machine that uses water in case of flooding. That could be causing the PF. themobilian_2.png

Error code PF

PF means Power Failure!
Unplug both units for 10 minutes, then plug them back in and try operating them. You may need an electrician to investigate why you are losing power to both units

Neptune Dryer PF Error Code

PF is a 'Power Failure' code meaning the dryer power may be interrupted. The plug receptacle may be bad. Check the plug for proper tension. If feels loose, have the receptacle replaced. Inspect the plug for discoloration. (a sign of a bad receptacle). If all looks OK, Check the power connections at the dryer. If looks OK the electronic control may be defective.
