SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Do I need special electrical outlet?

You need to check with a licensed electrician for your area that would know the electrical codes. Most houses will all ready have an outlet for the stove and you will have to match it up with for the cord on your stove. Older homes that have not upgraded the electrical, typically will have a 3 wire outlet for the stove. Most newer homes, where the code requires, may have a 4 wire outlet. If you are replacing an existing stove I would recommend getting a new pigtail cord for the new stove so that you have new wires carrying the current instead of trusting old wires. Hope this helps!

Stove Manuals. My electric cooker is named STOVES 720ef. I dont know how to work it

You're in luck.

I have just uploaded a scanned copy of the manual to the link below.

Requires an Adobe Acrobat reader to view the manual which most computers have.

This address is below:-

Please share this file with others who need it.

Kind Regards,

How do I know if my stove is three fase. I am in Brazil and the here power is 220v. Would you help please?

Your oven is 2 phase 220 volt not sure about foreign electrical service. The stove requires 2 phase electric service, each leg impute can be no more than 135 volts. It requires 2 pole 60 amp service with no less than a 8 gauge 3 wire service line with ground. The pigtail on the stove is as follows, black wire 120 volt leg red wire the other 120 volt leg the white wire is the neutral leg,(which is sometimes run to the ground block which incorrect but will work) the green wire is ground.

I would like to know how to adjust the stove so that it sits level ?

Most stoves of this type have both wheels and screw adjusted levellers (generally in the front only).
The lower drawer opens to reveal these in the corners or a loose clip-on front panel needs to be removed by gentle pulling. The knurled wheel like knobs are generally turned anti-clockwise (Right to Left as you face the stove) to screw out and thereby lift the stove front up to suit your requirements. Good Luck.

Correct wire gauge and circuit breaker to use?

If it is only the oven that is electric and not the entire stove, the required wire size is 10/3 with ground and a 30AMP circuit breaker. If it is the entire stove then you need 50AMP range cable and a 50AMP breaker. If your doing your microwave also, you need a 20AMP breaker and the wire you need is 12/2 with ground.. If the current breaker you were running was 30AMP I would keep that for your oven and run new wire for your microwave.

If that blower that cools the oven is auto run and off automatically, then maybe the thermostat that controlling it, was damaged.

Gas Safety

this is actually how every gas stove is set up and yes it would be a safety issue but there is really no way to change how they work i do wish the people building them would do it with at least a timer or something but that would make the product much more expensive. same type of technology is also used on propane bbq grills btw. it is just something you get used to after a while i have had gas for the last ten years and dont even notice it now

THE NEC NOW REQUIRES YOU TO INSTALL A 4 PRONG PLUG 10-4-WG WIRE CONNECTED TO A 30 AMP DOUBLE POLE BREAKER THE PIG TAIL ON THE NEW STOVE MUST MATCH THE PLUG SO THE ONE OFF OF THE OLD STOVE WILL NOT WORK GET THE 4 PRONG PLUG AS WELL THE WALL PLUG WILL BE EITHER A FLUSH MOUNT OR A SURFACE MOUNT AS TO SAY IN THE WALL OR ON THE BASEBOARD SURFACE REPLACE WITH THE SAME AS YOU HAD BEFORE IT IS LESS TROUBLE IN THE LONG RUN THIS SHOULD ANSWER ALL THE QUESTIONS THE ELECTRICIAN NEEDS TO KNOW IF NOT LET ME KNOW
