Wf250 will only allow a very small amount of water in and then shuts off.

Check the lint screen and water outflow from inside the tub cylinder... socks are often lodged inside the tube. Check the filter screen on the inlet hose at the faucet (tap).

Hi, we have an Indesit WIXL 143(UK)washing machine. Both the stain remove and easy iron lights flash together about twice per second and the door lock light flashes faster on doing any wash. Is this a...

This probably happens after the main wash has completed and it is just finishing the first rinse. It seems to be a warning that there is a partial blockage on the waste outflow. Empty the wash and use the DRAIN program to get as much water out as possible. From the FRONT of the machine open the lower flap and and then put a large towel on the floor. Unscrew the big black filter cover slowly - some water will come out -about a cupful. Ensuring the machine is turned off, use a cloth to remove any obvious build up of "gunk". Would suggest using an old toothbrush to clean off the surface and the plug.

You may have a blockage in your waste pipe. (If using an extension check any coupling has not "bunged up".
Last, check your waste pipe / grey water connection. Again, this "should" be fine, but it may be bunged up, especially if it feeds into the sink outflow.
Stick back together, plug in and use the 11, fast wash option in cold. Should now be happy, and you should hear water gurgling away noisily down the waste.
Always worth doing a 2 - 90 extra hot wash once in a while even EMPTY of washing just to "flush the system" now and again.
Hope this helps and saves you a £104 service engineer call from indesit :)

Where is the filter located on my hoover AL120 washing machine?

i assume you're having problems with (probably hot) water intake into your machine. if so- either hot or cold-or both). there are 'semi-circle' mesh inserts at both your hot and cold water connectors on the back of the machine- you'll need to move your machine, if needed to allow access to these connections (where your hoses screw on). then, if you have shut-offs for the water supplies to your washer, turn them off! expect a little leakage from the hoses! if no shutoffs- turn off main water supply and open up an outside faucet, until it drains down! you may want to unfasten the water lines to the washer, and keep them elevated for a while until the water drains from them! (after doing the previous things!) you'll see- in the inlet s a mesh screen, see if they're 'crudded up' with mineral deposits- if so, get a hat-pin or some thing similar and pry them out- use an old toothbrush to loosen any deposits you see clogging them, and tap them to remove deposits! perhaps place them in a vinegar solution to help dissolve them! when they're clean- replace them- re-connect water lines- hand tight- or a little more- don't break the nylon outside threaded connectors on the back of the washer, or your looking at a more expensive and tedious job!
turn your shut-offs on, or your outside main shut-off, and hopefully, your drum will fill with great vigor!!
don't forget your outside hose faucet, if you needed to 'drain' it down! if 'outflow'- drainage is the problem then it could be a small article of clothing, or junk, in your drain pump- could also be a failed drain pump- you didn't specify whether it was input or output. just guessed!
good luck!!

Not draining all the way

try unblocking the outflow pipes to the machine. The pump may be trying to pump the water out but the pipe might be blocked with debris i.e. hair/fluff etc... Look under the sink and you will see the outflow pipe attached to the sump (or u-bend) with a bowl or pot handy (because of excess water), take the pipe off of the sump and check for blockages. Then if you can check the u-bend too and see if this help.

Re: won't spin

try checking the outflow pipe is clear of blockages. Look under the sink where the outflow pipe attaches to the ubend and with a pot handy to catch any water remove the pipe and check to see if any hair/fluff etc is blocking it, then check the ubend. If this is clear then the carbon brushes in the motor may need changing. If it is still under guarantee and it is not caused by a blockage then connect the company you bought it from and they should send out an engineer.

Washing machine problem

it could be that the carbon brushes need changing on the motor. you can drain the machine if there is water in it by disconnecting the outflow pipe from the u-bend under the sink and lowering it into a bucket. This will empty any water in the machine (most of it any way), at the same time you can check for blockages in the outflow pipe while it is disconnected. If the machine is at least five years old then the carbon brushes are easy enough to change yourself, they are seated each side of the motor which will be on top of the machine. Simply carfully disconnect the electric cables on each carbon brush, gently slide them out and replace them by carefully sliding the new ones back into place and then connecting the electric cables again. The carbon brushes for hotpoints were universal for the older models 5 years old or more, but the newer version have cleverly put the motors on the bottom and are hard if not impossible to get to. You will then need to call out an engineer. Always make sure that you disconnet from the mains before touching anything within the machine, and if you are not confident in what you are doing the don't do it, call an engineer.

Bosch washing m/c wf2000 pump not working

it may be as simple as a blocked pipe. Check the outlet under the sink it may be full of hair/fluff etc. If you can disconnect the outflow pipe from the u-bend under the sink, first check that the end of the outflow pipe is not blocked, then check the u-bend for blockages. If these are both clear then the pump itself may have a blockage. If you know how to get to the pump, then ask someone to help you take the outflow pipe away from the pump so you can check the pump and pipe for blockages. Be prepared for plenty of gushing water if you remove the pipe away from the pump, and have a pot or something ready under the sink for when you check the pipe at that end. I hope this helps.
