I have a dodge caravan and need to know how to use the disk to install my new tomtom125. Probably need better instructions than in the book. Any help would be appreciated because i am new to this technology
First ensure that the surface you are mounting to is clean use rubbing alcohol also make sure dis surface and suction cup are cleaned. remove sticker sticker peal from sticker on underside of disc place disc on cleaned dash surface. then place mounting cup onto disk this should hold quite well if not i would recommend getting the hard plastic type velcro and attaching to dis and suction cup that works well for me

Find out which TomTom software works with your device (TomTom Home or MyDrive Connect), download it and install it on the computer. Connect the device to the computer. It should be recognized by the TomTom software. For TomTom Home, find the Update my TomTom and follow instructions. For MyDriveConnect create an account with TomTom and associate the device with the account. Once logged you will see what you are entitled to. If you do not see MapUpdate you are not entitled to free updates and you will have to buy the new maps.

I use a Garmin GPS unit in my car. The Garmin dashboard disk was the
perfect solution to mounting the unit to where I can see it easily
while driving. I was pleased to see how easy it was to install and how
well it holds the GPS mount in place. I have not yet tried to peel off
the disk to see if it did any significant damage to the dashboard
covering. I keep cars a long time so that isn't really a problem for
me. I do suggest that you find a nice magnetic knicknack to set on the
disk when you leave the car parked. Even though you probably take the
GPS with you, the knicknack dould possible disguise the fact that you
use a GPS and reduce the possibility of someone breaking into the car.
Go to change preferances, then safety preferances, click done, warning sound click done, driving side click done, this will bring you to turn of map display. Make sure never is checked.
Hope this helps
I just hung up with TOMTOM support. If you have the first edition TOMTOM you need the EZ Port Mount Kit for the 1140, 1140S, XL340 or XL340s. Not it isn't rocket science, but it would have been nice to have clear compatability information on the box. Hope this helps.
