Question about Dell Inspiron 6400 Notebook
You have the wrong keyboard settings,
i trust you are using windows, you need to go into control panel, and find regional and language options, when the new window options take the second tab (languages)
press details button and check you keyboard settings .
you may need to add a new keyboard and delete the current one.
if you have just installed you operating system it is set to the default settings, if it has been installed for a while but has only just had this problem maybe someone changed the settings.
you may even be able to change settings using the language bar at the bottom of the screen.
