Question about Televison & Video
I have a 50" Hitachi projection TV that I bought new in 1993.. It has worked excellent all this time until today... suddenly it simply won't turn on. I checked the breakers and outlet and all my other electronics work, so I know the power source has juice.
I realize that I've already beat the odds with how long this set has worked, but it would be a shame to get rid of it if there was a simple solution to keeping it working
This is a huge floor console TV and there just isn't anything like it out there anymore.... please HELP!!!!.
1. if you point the remote at the tv and push power -and you here the click -point the remote at the tv and push power agian- to here another click - wait a full ten seconds or more and then point the remote at the tv agian and push power - and the tv might come on 2. If it wont help it might be fuse. For this you will need to unplug the tv but wait at list 2 hours. If it is needed to rich the fuse remove back cover and look for blown fuse. 3. If everything is fine probably its a C707 capacitor. You can get fuses and capacitor here www.TvRepairKits.com Good Luck

You might want to look up the model number and see if you can buy and replace the projection bulb. Not too sure but thats what i would put my money on. Only problem is that bulsb can cost as much as some new tv's
