When plugged in, the battery light flashes 3 times yellow then once green. Problem is the battery is not charging. Shows that it is charging but remains at 0%. A bad battery?

I purchased a new battery for my Dell Latitude 810 and it still won't hold a charge. The battery indicator light is green for a brief period, turns amber and then shuts off.

If you installed a new battery in your Dell computer and still can't get it to charge, there is a strong possibility that there is something wrong with the charging system

Dell latitude d810 battery light flashes 4 orange and one green

This indicates an internal failure in the battery. While the battery may hold a charge and function, the system has determined an internal failure (Cell with low or no voltage etc) and the only way to resolve the failure is to replace the battery

Dell laptop battery has 3 lights flashing when hit battery tester

You can't get the modern batteries to come back to life. Time to get a new one.
A suggestion: When using a laptop battery, run it on battery and discharge it until it shows about 2 to 3% charge left at least once a month. Do not keep charging it without letting it run down periodically. Most important--do not run always plugged in to line current.

Blinking battery lights

Is this the charging LED? If so, you've either got a bad battery or a bad system board.
