Both - What model is the card?

Vanesssa - do you also have a Presario 700 computer?

Both - What operating system are you using (Windows XP?)

Both - More details, do any lights come on, does windows find a new device, are there any error messages ...

Cant get the Linksys to find the Optus DSL network

do you have security enabled on the wireless router?
if so, disable to security and see if you can connect.
if it works, check if you set the router security to use WPA2- it is possible that your laptop/wireless card doesn't support it- try to use WPA instead

Looks like conected but i cant get internet

Router might not be set up with the modem. Your router broadcast wireless signal when it is powered on, so even if it is not connected to a modem(where you get your internet from)you will have a local connection. That's normal. You need to set up the router. Call linksys technical support, if they cannot help try http://technicalsupport.blog.friendster.com

Linksys WRT54GS router needs to be rebooted frequently

Try to leave of air for an hour, untill its cold, then reconect it, if the time untill it quit conecting is consitrly longer, your Linksys is dying.

Wireles conection problem

I've run into this issue with USB wireless network cards from DLink, Linksys, and Netgear. For me, the issue was with the USB ports on the PC and not having enough power for the device, the connection would stay live for a random amount of time and then all of a sudden it would die (same thing would happen when resuming from hibernation or standby). I added a PCI card with a powered USB hub in it and it solved my problem.

Hope this info helps!
