Has the tape been removed completely from the cartridge? Is the cartridge pushed into the carriage all ot the way? Is this the correct cartridge for your printer?

    If it is not inconvenient, I would take the cartridge back to where you had purchased and request a replacement. This way you will be able to eliminate whether the cartridge is bad, or if you do have a hardware problem with your printer.

    If you could provide me with the make, model and serial number of your printer, I can do further research to verify the current issue. Please let me know what you plan to do and thank you. Binary Bob

Did you get a Samsung toner cartridge or an off brand? Toner cartridges have small chips that tell the printer how much toner is left.. Not all of those chips will work correctly.

My printer keeps saying wrong cartridge but they are the right ones

use a lcd cleaning liquid to clean the head of cartridge then insert them in your printer and then press the power button for 5-10 sec then on the printer it should work!!

warning it can even damage proceede at your own risk!!

Just had new printer again kodak esp 7 and got same problem black ink cartridge not printing

are the ink cartridge you are using refurbished because sometimes the printer wont read them had a simular prob with my printer you might have to just buy new ones for it

Office jet 5510 keeps saying wrong black cartridge.

Look on the right side where the cartridge goes, if the spring on the right is hanging loose it might have poked a hole in the ribbon cable at the rear near the contacts. If so it's time for a new printer, if OK, check the exp. date on the ink cartridge and if it's been refilled or a generic ink you may just need another one.

Replaced color cartridge...alignment keeps failing. On alignment printout, yellow and blue are not printing. It's a new cartridge and it keeps saying "Check color cartridge"

You should first check and make sure it is the correct cartridge, and was not packaged wrong(know this because it happened to me a year ago wrong cartridge in package). If it is right check and clean your conntacts and reinstall. It may be a defective cartridge or the jet contacts are not working on the cartridge. If it still does not work take it back and get a replacement telling them it is defective. Then try again making ure contacts are clean on printer also. Good luck. Printer keeps saying "INSTALL BLACK CARTRIDGE".

If you are using Windows.
Go into "Start", "Printers and Faxes".
Right click on the printer icon.
Click properties.
Look for reset cartridge.
Or something similar.
That should fix the problem.

have you insterted it correctly, you have two options, either wrong installation , or bad cartridge(in this case try a different cartridge to eliminate this probability)
