SOURCE: Wii Remote Problem

Hi there

Had the same problem the motion sensor worked fine choosing the game, number of palyers etc but would not work for Wii sports no hitting in baseball and a lopsided boxer!! Found another web page that suggested turning the Wimote over and spanking it.  Thought what the heck and tried it - solved the problem working fine and have a very happy child again!!

SOURCE: Wii Remotes

If the controllers are not syncing, the for blue LEDs on the bottom of the controller will flash. If only one LED is lit, showing which player that controller is synced to, they are working. Are they working at all? do you get reaction from the buttons? if the IR cursor on the Wii menu does'nt show up, then the contollers are not seeing the sensor bar, and it may need to be replaced.

SOURCE: Wii Remotes can turn on but no arrows.

I had the same problem. When I looked at my system, I noticed the sensor was turned sideways with my tv remote in front of it. When I turned my sensor around correctly, and moved my tv remote away from it, the arrows suddenly appeared! Make sure nothing is blocking your sensor!

The Wii Remote that came with your Wii console is synced at the factory. Use the steps below to add additional Wii Remotes, or to re-synchronize a Wii Remote with the Wii console. To temporarily use a Wii Remote on another console, see One Time Mode synchronization by clicking here.
Note: how to Make sure you have placed batteries in the Wii Remote.
1. Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on.
2. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote you wish to sync up, and open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console. (The SD Card Slot is the small door located near the disc drive slot.)
3. Press and release the SYNC button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote; the Player LED will blink. Quickly press and release the SYNC button on the inside of the SD Card compartment on the console.
4. When the Player LED blinking stops, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4).
5. This procedure must be followed for each additional Wii Remote added to the system.
If your remote for Wii still does not work, the best way is writing to Wii costumer service
Also, If possible, get another Wii remote for a try.

OK, i got a new wii remote, set it up, and now none of my wii remotes are working including the one i just set up.

Try these two synchronization processes and if it still doesn't work than contact me:
  1. Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on.

  2. Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote you wish to sync up.

  5. This procedure must be followed for each additional Wii Remote added to your system.

    One Time Mode Synchronization
Press the HOME Button on a Wii Remote that is synchronized with the Wii console.

  1. Select the Wii Remote Settings option from the Home Button menu.

  2. Select the Reconnect Option.

  3. Press the 1 and 2 Buttons at the same time on the Wii Remote that you want to synchronize with the console. If you are syncing multiple Wii Remotes, press the 1 and 2 Buttons on each Wii Remote immediately (without a significant pause) in the order you want them synced. The order in which you synchronize Wii Remotes determines the player order (1 through 4) for multiplayer games. The Player LED will blink during the syncing process. When the blinking stops, the connection is complete.

Adding second remote for jeopardy so 2 people can play at the same time

when in any game, when you are ready to add additional remotes, on player 1's remote, hit the center wii "home" symbol. Then at the bottom of the screen you will see the "remote settings" bar. Hover over it with player 1's remote, click it and follow the on screen directions. Hope this helps!

Why are my remotes not working

dont have a wii fit but, try to reconnect the remotes by pressing the button with the blue house on it on the wii remote, and pull up the wii remote settings. then, press the reconnect button on the remote and follow the directions. if that doesnt work, open the battery compartment on the remote and when the wii is on, press the red button inside the battery compartment on the wii remote that says SYNC. if that doesnt work, try the SYNC. button inside the wii itself. (located in the door in the FRONT of the wii. it has a spot for an SD (scandisk) memory card) it is a rectangular bigger button than the wiii remote. even if none of these options work THANKS FOR READING
