Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
How many red lights?
If it's a full circle, then that means it is the dreaded red ring of death. This means that your console's hardware has had a fatal error and will not work. If your still under warranty, contact Microsoft and they will fix it for you.
For future information, this red ring of death is a very common problem with the 360. This is why; Microsoft made a mistake in the design and basically surrounded the entire internal organs of the systems with an aluminum shell, making overheating a real issue. When your system overheats, the sauter (SP?) holding your CPU (The Central Processing Unit, the thing that basically tells your system what to do) has softens, and your CPU begins to rise. Sometimes this will cause a single red light, which means an overheat. When this happens enough, or if the system gets hot enough, then the CPU will actually lift itself from the connection almost completely, meaning that the CPU is no longer connected. There is no way to fix this without Voiding your warranty, so you have to contact microsoft for them to fix/replace the system.
